If you happened to read Cheryl Strayed's book, Wild, or catch the movie, you know that Ashland is a common and favorite stop from the PCT. We love to see hikers coming through, dirty, tired and super pumped to be here. Fun to talk to and happy to help them whenever possible. Since hikers often mail themselves supplies to 'Ashland General Delivery', and ship unneeded items via the post office, they try to make them welcome too. Often boxes with small items shared with community and hikers alike are there waiting for our beloved travelers through Ashland.

First Friday in Ashland - stores and expanded artisan market will be open late and music will be everywhere. This one is a local favorite: The Rosa Lees - all female bluegrass band in the park starting at 4:00 PM - bring a picnic and your best toe-tappin' shoes😀

The Rosa Lees are a bluegrass, old-time, and roots music band from the mountains of Southern Oregon.

Holiday Magic Show next Friday 11/24, the day after Thanksgiving, at Northwest Nature Shop 2 shows 1 and 3 pm. Outside in the alley so dress warm! Magical Michael is sweet, funny and entertaining. He's been performing this holiday magic show for many years and always brings a smile and laughter to both kids and adults. I love "Black Friday" at the shop because instead of a mad dash to get the cheapest deal, it is a celebration of our vibrant small business and artisan community. It may not seem like your shopping choices make a difference but listen to us, as small business owners, we appreciate every single time you choose to shop at a local independently owned business like ours. It is the only reason we have been able to stay in business these last 28 years! You have shown up for us over and over again and we thank you for that.
