Come to Türkiye with FTI: Part 4

On the final day of the recent familiarization trip, FTI’s Kate attended the closing event in the Ancient City of Ephesus!

Ephesus is in the modern Izmir province, on Türkiye’s west coast, and is a major tourism destination due to its biblical and historical significance and vast archaeological site. The famous ruins include the Library of Celsus and was once home to the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

The event included cultural performances and was filled with great music, food, and energy as everyone reflected on the last week in Türkiye.

Come to Türkiye with FTI: Part 3!

On the third day of the Airlines familiarization trip last week, FTI's Kate continued with the group to a tour of the ancient city of Laodicea - one of the Seven Churches of Revelation!

They then continued to Pamukkale's travertine terraces, natural thermal spring water baths in Denizli. The ancient city of Hierapolis is right next door, home to one of the biggest ancient theaters in Türkiye. A must visit!

Come to Türkiye with FTI: Part 2

On the second day of the recent familiarization trip, FTI’s Kate flew to western Türkiye’s mountainous countryside.

First, they toured the ancient caves of the Phrygian Valley, where the earliest homes, tombs, and churches were built inside of natural rock formations. They were then welcomed by the local people with tea and traditional Turkish foods.

They continued onto an Afyon city tour, and saw the local shops, toured beautiful mosques, and visited an archaeological museum.

Come with FTI to Türkiye: Part 1

FTI's Marketing & Communications Associate, Kate, had the opportunity to join on their familiarization trip to Türkiye last week!

On day 1 of the trip, the group flew to Istanbul on Turkish Airlines. They were welcomed with a dinner of some of the best Turkish dishes and attended a traditional ceremonial whirling dervish performance! What a start to the trip!
