“Come in and know me better man!”

The image of Santa Claus had evolved quite a bit over the years! 🎅🏼 Based off St Nicholas, Victorians often pictured him in long priestly robes with fur trim. In fact, Charles Dickens modeled the Ghost of Christmas Present off of this jolly visitor who would reward good children with treats in their shoes on the eve of St Nicholas Day, celebrated on December 6th. It was another Victorian writer that gifted us the jolly ol elf! (Check out our stories for that one!). Whether visited by 3 ghosts, a cloven and horned beast, or Father Christmas…. the Victorians would certainly have a story waiting for them! 🕯️👻🎄

Ashland Haunted History Tours are guided, seasonal walking ghost tours of downtown Ashland, featuring researched history and ghost stories as related by business owners and residents of this historic town. Tours run every Friday and Saturday night and meet in front of RED VEIN Escape at 108 Robinson Street! Tours focus on the town’s rich, storied history as guides spin fascinating tales of the dark and macabre that will both thrill and delight. Learn all about the surprisingly rowdy history of this antebellum town by stories passed down from business owners and residents.

RED VEIN has been in the entertainment and attraction business since 2011. Their seasonal haunted attraction, RED VEIN Haunted House, opened at Hanover Vegetable Farm in 2016. RED VEIN Escape is a year round, multi-escape room game experience.

The group at RED VEIN Escape proudly reestablished the tour in downtown Ashland in July 2019. Ashland Haunted History Tour was founded in 2015 by Behind the Curtain, a studio space off England Street owned by Arthur Brill.
