We had a productive past five days, running 14 trips. We located a prime school of fish much closer than we’ve been fishing which was a nice change of pace. We utilized a combination of dipsys and wire; dipsy settings were 1@130, 2@159, and 3@180, and 300 wire 100’ over with big sticks were our keys to a successful catch. September offers some of the best fishing opportunities, and we anticipate several more weeks of good fishing if the weather permits and the fish stick around. Interested individuals are encouraged to contact us and schedule a trip. Our gratitude extends to Capt. Steve for running the 3rd boat for us along with Capt Dan and Capt. Ron Capt Jeff first mate Steve and first mate Josh for their contributions and everything they do to keep the boats in order and taking care of our customers. Thanks to everyone who fished with us over the past several days and we look forward to having you back!

Dana Davis and his family visited us on Tuesday from West Virginia and we had an action-packed morning reeling up fish. Our tried-and-true methods with dipsy divers and wire lines were the workhorses once again. This group
netted and managed the rods like pros all while reeling in their limits. We still have availability for late summer walleye trips, so contact Capt. Dave to book your trip!

Labor Day weekend roundup for Wrek-N-Eyes: Friday, we had Tracy Fisher on board and quickly filled the cooler with walleye with our dipsy bite. On Saturday, Joe Batcho joined us on Wrek 1 and we caught 42 walleyes, while Wrek 2 introduced new customers from Kentucky to the excitement of Lake Erie fishing, catching 30 walleyes. Today, Wrek 1 ran a trip for Capt. Blaine Speakman landing 40 walleyes in no time for his group. Wrek 2, with new customers, Zach Dalton and his family on board, caught 31 walleyes. Despite unfavorable weather conditions, we persevered and had a productive weekend. Our tactics included using dipsy divers with shallow diving crankbaits and contender spoons, along with deploying a wire line when possible. Thanks to everyone for fishing with us the last few days and choosing Wrek N Eyes for your Lake Erie fishing charter destination!

Round 6 with Skipper Buds today fishing did not disappoint. The fishing was chaotic, with dipsy's doing all the damage. Contender spoons and shallow diving crank baits were the preferred methods and soon as you’d lock the lever in place there would be a walleye on the other end. We took 44 fish back to the cleaners, allowing our guests to take home 36, and leaving some for Captain Dan and the crew. We have availability this weekend if you’re looking to get out and do some catching.

Chad L. participated in the walleye harvest by bringing his work crew for a 3-boat deal today. Our collective efforts resulted in 112 walleye for our clients, providing them with an abundance of filets for their freezers. The most productive techniques included dipsy divers #1@100, #2@125, and #3@155, as well as contender spoons. Ladybug was the preferred color choice. We express our gratitude to Captain Steve of Kokomo Joe Charters for operating our third boat this morning. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you again next year

Captain Dave and Wrek N Eyes crew have been extremely busy over the past few days, taking advantage of the great weather to run 17 trips and bring in 563 walleye for their customers. We’ve been focusing on the northern end of the fishing grounds, near the border, and using dipsys as their preferred presentation #1@100, #2@125 #3@150 with contender spoons “Ladybug”. For those looking to get in on the fantastic walleye fishing, give Capt. Dave a call to secure your spot! Want to say thank you to all the groups who were with us the last couple days and we look forward to seeing you again!

The Wrek-N-Eyes and Kokomo Joe had Great Lakes Power Sports today and caught 127 walleyes. After a long boat ride north, we spun it south and had a successful day with dipsy’s and wire doing the work! Capt Dave won the big fish contest between the boats and took home a bottle of rum. Thank you for choosing us for your annual fishing trip, and we look forward to having you again. We still have some open dates, so give Capt Dave a call if you're interested.

The Wrek N Eyes crew just finished up running eight trips in the past four days bringing in 292 walleye for our guests. Despite challenging weather conditions at times, our guests were still able to enjoy a great catch. Our program were dipsy 1@95, 2@125, and 3@150, along with 300 wire w/24a's. We would like to express our appreciation to our guests, including Mike Pfeiffer, Ben Troyer, the Eaton Group, Bill Connelly, James, Bob, and Troy, for choosing to fish with us and look forward to having them all again in the future. We welcomed Frank DeVuono and his crew today as first-time customers, and they certainly put on a show with their impressive catch of walleye this morning. Chris Yoder was also here for his second day of fishing. The water temps varied throughout the fishing grounds after the storm/blow and the fish seemed to have pushed north at least for us. Dipsy and wire were still the ticket for us however our leads did shorten slightly. Dipsy leads were 1@95, 2@130, 3@155 and 300 wire w/24 la bombers. Fishing remains absolutely incredible and we have availability to get you and your group on the water. Thank you to both groups for fishing with us today and we look forward to having y‘all back!

The calm before the storm... We were able to get our Saturday afternoon trip in on Thursday afternoon for Geauga Mechanical, and Capt. Steve w/KokomoJoe was with us this morning. Capt. Dave accompanied by Dave Jr. aka Chad Weisbarth piloted Wrek 1 & Wrek 2, and Capt. Ron was at the helm for Dave Harbaugh with his group this morning. With 2, 3, 4, and 5 people reeling at a time, we did our best to keep lines in the water while flinging fish over the rails. Dipsy's and wire were our ticket to success, with wire's our fishing the dipsys the last couple of days, and we sent 187 fish home with our customers. Thanks to all the groups who fished with us the last couple of days, and that's to Capt. Steve w/Kokomo Joe for being an extra boat for us!

A successful Sunday for the Wrek N Eyes crew, with Paul Myers and Ken Hagman joining us for their second day of fishing. We had only one afternoon trip with City Concrete, using a mix of dipsy's and wire on all three trips. The dipsy settings remained unchanged, with spoons and shallow diving crank baits being used. Thank you for choosing to fish with us, and we look forward to your return! Fishing really is fantastic right now and if you’re thinking about booking a trip then now is the time! Give Capt Dave a call (330)207-3860 to get on the schedule!
