BEWARE of EXPEDIA! Another reason to use a Travel Agent!
I have clients that booked their own airfare to Ireland with Expedia on June 3 for $1441.24. On June 28 they received a call that their flight was cancelled. Sierra from Reservations Desk called them, she knew all their information. She proceeded to book their flight for $3708. They didn't know what to do, they need to be in Ireland in less than 2 weeks. I spent from 9:04 am - 12:22 pm today on Chat with Expedia and got a run around. They said get a hold of Reservation Desk. I already called them yesterday and spoke to 5 different people until I got to Sierra (she talked to my clients and booked their new flights). I spent 2 hours on phone with them yesterday. Sierra is checking into the issue! 😡 Expedia is the one that gave out my clients information. It took a long time before the Chat Rep would tell me Reservation Desk is an Affiliate of theirs.
MY SUGGESTION - Use Expedia to get pricing, but always book on Airlines page.
