If you’re an avid cold water fisherman or hunter, please be sure you have proper Life Jackets. I recently learned that inflatable jackets are not recommended below freezing temperatures. Frank found the information and I thought I should pass this along. We are both avid duck hunters in the off season from fishing and did not know this.

The last one is home. Long day up and back, and initial pressure wash done. Full cleaning, fluids changed, bottom paint touch ups, and she will be ready for spring battle. Should be in the hands of Superior Marine Services by the end of the week for shrink wrap and storage.

After not fishing for a week, Mark and I wasn’t sure what to expect. We pointed the Cherokee north and crossed our fingers. Today we had family and friends on the boat and new rods to test out.
We started with very little marks and that quickly changed, wire, bombers and bandits did most of the damage on the new board rods, and dipseys with big MarbleEye Tackle LLC spoons pulling their own.
Watch for an upcoming feature on these new rods by Captain Mark !

All clean, winterized and ready for wrap. Dropped it off at Superior Marine Services in Calcutta by my house. Great deals on shrink wrap and storage for the winter.
Picking it back up March 1st to begin the work on it before spring launch. Some much needed love going to go into it before it sees water again.

Always a riot when this crew gets on the boat! Mark and I took long time clients, more like friends, Celena and crew out for a long ride north. We were met with calm seas and really nice fish!
We continued the dipsey program with big spoons to load up a killer board for the crew.
See you all again next season
