Last week, the granite countertops were delivered and installed. Rawlins Home Improvements took advantage by then installing the tile backsplash!! We are getting close to opening this spot for your family and friends to stay!

A lot has been going on at the Suite, and it is beginning to take shape. For starters, all the floors have now been installed, and one of the showers have been tiled!! We are getting close!

We decided early on to knock out this wall that separated the two spaces and made for a small and awkward apartment in the front. It was definitely the right decision as it opens up the space and lets all the light in. The first picture shows a door to the small apartment. Then you can see what it looks like to have it all open. The drywall is finished now and on to painting! As a reminder this Suite is above the bakery. We will share the renovations to the bakery soon as things are moving along down there as well!
I’ve had several people question me on why I wanted to make this an airbnb and not just a long term rental. I really think there is a need for a spacious place to stay while visiting family for weddings, reunions, vacations, and holidays. I’ve had a ton of interest already and we are so excited to host so many of you, your family and friends.
This space will have 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, full size laundry, a large open kitchen and spacious living area.

In January, demo was completed, and framing started. Here are some pics after rooms, walls, and ceiling were framed. Rough plumbing, electric, and HVAC were completed as well. Demo on the Suite started in early December. It was a mess! There was a small apartment in the front that we had demolished. The back portion was pretty much open and original. Just having the walls down made this space seem so much bigger! We made the decision to make it one large space instead of two smaller and awkward apartments. It was definitely the right decision! Look how open and airy! More pictures to come!!
