This Christmas, get a few ski pointers... from one of the best coaches in the U.S.

Mike Day, one of the all-time great alpine ski coaches, will be at the Club during the week of Christmas, and Members will be able to chat with him, hear a talk given by him and join him for a ski session. Mike spent 10 seasons working for the U.S. Ski Team and has coached such World Cup athletes as Bode Miller, Ted Ligety and Mikaela Shiffrin.

Staying at the Club or in Aspen over the holiday? The Willow Creek Bistro will be open and serving delicious dinners on Thanksgiving night. Order your favorites from their daily dinner menu as well as a Thanksgiving special, featuring turkey and all the trimmings.

With the weather cooling and the leaves changing (but the snow not here yet), it is the perfect time to explore the Independence Ghost Town. 🌲🍂

The abandoned town of Independence was the first mining site in the Roaring Fork Valley, and the site where, legend has it, prospectors discovered the Independence Gold Lode in 1879.

Discover the stories and characters integral to the area’s history through interpretive signs on the trails. Located just below the Continental Divide and open every day, the ghost town is a “don’t-miss stop” on Independence Pass along the Top of the Rockies Scenic Byway.

Amazingly, we still have a two- and a three-bedroom unit available Aug. 31 through Sept. 07, which is a beautiful time to be in Aspen. And, it just so happens, you will be able to take advantage of our special summer rates through this week.

Aspen offers over 50 miles of paved trails for road biking; a variety of terrain, descents and technical difficulty for mountain biking and even WE-cycle's free community bikeshare (which includes e-bikes) for getting around town. So come have some fun on two wheels.

Yes, Chef! 👨‍🍳 The Club's restaurant, Willow Creek Bistro, has a new Exec. Chef and Menu. 😋

Chef Rob Michelin has joined the culinary team and will fit right in with the restaurant’s mission to prepare delicious dishes with locally sourced ingredients.

Along those lines, he has refreshed the menu, providing updates to classics as well as adding his own favorites. One new dish worth sampling is the Coconut Curry Ramen (shown), which is a delicious amalgamation of flavors from the sweet coconut to the chewy noodles to the spice from the chili oil.

Come see how the Maroon Bells earned their name. ⛰️

Stay at our Club, the only one in the Aspen Highlands, and easily catch the shuttle to the Maroon Bells from its starting spot just next door in Aspen Highlands Village. Very convenient. Best to arrive early when the rising sun is hitting the soft red shale of the mountains, resulting in that iconic maroon color.

The shuttle to the Bells does require you to purchase tickets in advance. You can also choose to drive, but there are limited parking passes sold. Find more details on both here: https://bit.ly/RCMaroonBellsRes

Summer will soon be in Aspen. Will you? 😎 🌱

While late spring and summer are a wonderful time to be in Aspen–the sun is shining, the weather is mild and the land is green and flowering–be aware that our Club has already sold out the first two weeks of June. So, it is time to start making your summer plans...

That said, there are still prime dates available, including the weeks of Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day. Late August–that ideal vacation time that occurs after your kids or grandkids are done with camp and before they start school–also has availability.

Snowmass closes this weekend! 🥺 The only thing getting us through missing these beautiful views is that summer is right around the corner, and here in Aspen, that is pretty special, too.

Enjoy Snowmass' end-of-season party on April 13 and Closing Day on April 14. Aspen Mountain closes on April 21.
