On this , we’re celebrating the runners who made this year’s Aspen Valley Marathon special. Meet Diego, who discovered his passion for running during the pandemic and has since tackled marathons in Chicago, London, and New York.
This July, Diego brought his enthusiasm for running to Aspen, hosting the Shakeout Run with and pacing the Half Marathon. Reflecting on the race, he shared, ‘The vibe and atmosphere were amazing. It felt like a true party at the finish line, with everyone celebrating together. It was awesome to share that feeling with others.’
We’re proud to spotlight Diego, who not only chases his dreams but also contributes to our community. Here’s to many more miles and memorable moments, Diego!

Plus, we’re excited to announce our 2024 Aid Station Contest with CASH PRIZES for the top three aid stations!
Get creative and dress up your station with a fun theme. Judging will be based on creativity and spirit by our aid station director and his assistant.

If you miss packet pickup you may pick up your bib on the day but please arrive at least 30 mins before the start. Please note that there is road construction around the packet pickup area. We recommend allowing extra time to account for potential delays and ensure you arrive on time.
