Embracing her independence, this solo traveler made her aspirations a reality. She joined a full-day tour of 4 captivating coastal towns. She marveled at the Astoria Column's evening beauty, the Goonies house, Peter Iredale, and all of Seaside! She extended her stay by 4 days and enjoyed dining at Chalkboard Cafe, a place she cherished and revisited multiple times! Her tour's pinnacle was encountering warm and welcoming locals like Harper at Weird Sisters Freak Boutique and Ken our famous chef at Chalkboard Cafe!

I met this fantastic couple when they booked the Tour of Seaside and Cannon Beach. We refused to let a little storm ruin our fun, so we hung out in museums and the seaside Antique Mall instead. They were a blast and totally appreciated the sights, even with hail, king tides, thunderstorms, and lightning crashing around us. Talk about adventure at its finest!

Travelers have long been enriched by sculptures crafted by artists. The Whispering Giants, created by Peter Toth, are especially remarkable, paying homage to Native Americans with a presence in 50 states. One notable example is Astoria, Oregon’s 18-foot cedar giant, “Ikala Nawan,” or “Men of Many Fish.” Are you familiar with the Whispering Giants? The Astoria sculpture is featured below.

- Days: Wednesday, Thursday
- Time: 10:00 AM
- Pick-up: Door-to-door service from all hotels in Seaside
- Price: $65.00 per person

2. **Tour of Astoria**
- Days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday
- Time: 10:00 AM
- Pick-up: Door-to-door service from all hotels in Astoria
- Price: $65.00 per person

3. **Tour of Warrenton**
- Days: Monday, Tuesday
- Time: 10:00 AM
- Pick-up: Door-to-door service from all hotels in Warrenton
- Price: $65.00 per person

4. **6-Hour Party Bus: Booze, Bites, and Amazing Sights**
- Days: Thursday - Sunday
- Time: 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Price: $800.00 for up to 12 friends or $65.00 per person

Last night we joined Namazake Paul Sake tasting hoisted by Vineside Wine Bar on Pier 39. Every seat was full while we tasted 6 different bottles paired with food. The fruity ( Wikun “ Daidal: Orange” Junmai Ginjo to a whiskey taste ( Iwanoi “Fishing Vessel” Yamahai Junkai Ginjo Muroka Nama Genshi) were our favorite.
We bought a bottle to share at our letting go party in January!!

The Astoria tour today was filled with unexpected twists. Timely ship arrival was countered by customs-related disembarkation delays. Following three circuits, our complete 14-person group spent several hours in downtown Astoria. Popular stops included the Oregon Film Museum, Astoria Column, Bowline Sea Lions, and Goonies House. Attendees came from diverse backgrounds, hailing from the UK, New York, Arizona, LA, New Jersey, and Chicago. Rainy conditions were mitigated by hospitality from Fort George, Super Club, and Pilot House. The group thoroughly enjoyed Astoria and was grateful for the flexible itinerary adjustments.

We had the Tour of Seaside and Cannon Beach excursion today. The tour featured sightings of bunnies and elk, and the discovery of more than five beach names. The outing was enjoyed with visitors from Shelton, Washington, who mentioned their city is home to the largest Christmas Tree maze. It was quite impressive!

Our tour group today consisted of travelers from the United Kingdom, Japan, and Washington State. Notable attractions included the Goonies House, an encounter with Dave Knight at the Oregon Film Museum, climbing the Astoria Column, and viewing the sea lion population. The weather remained favorable all day.
