Sundial Special Vacations has been providing excursions for developmentally disabled adults since 1968. Our tour guide ratio is one to four, depending on the capabilities of the groups. Our clients are chaperoned during the entire land portion of the tour. n be assured arrangements have been made for their safe travel. All vacation arrangements are made by our qualified travel consultants in cooperation with the airlines, hotels, and other companies. Our vacations are designed especially for the developmentally disabled, autistic or handicapped person and are escorted by experienced Sundial staff. Many of our special vacationers come from group homes, recreation and park programs, independent living situations, or vocational programs. Our purpose is to encourage handicapped travelers and to ease their way. Our philosophy is not to stress behavior management while on vacation, but to let each person relax and enjoy his or her vacation. Our vacation arrangements are made by qualified travel consultants in co-operation with airlines, hotels and other travel company's involved in the tour. Our staff monitors airlines for delays and is in constant contact with our tour guides. Our tour guides come from different areas and have a wide variety of backgrounds. They all have a few attributes in common, they are professional in taking care of needs of our clients, they are respectful towards them, and most important they know how to have fun with them.
