👀how many ICONIC attractions can you see?

We’ve never actually done a “pre cruise trip”, if you will. But honestly, it was kind of a game changer!

Taking a few days to let ourselves disconnect from the world and soak in the magic of Universal was EXACTLY what we needed!

✨universal makes the PERFECT pre cruise stay because:
1. Minimal planning- Universal does not require the same amount of planning as other theme parks do. In fact, we totally “winged it” and were able to do SO MUCH!

2. There’s something for EVERYONE- thrill seekers are covered with amazing coasters, leisure rides are to found everywhere, show options for all ages, sights, sounds, and SNACKS GALORE! Seriously…there truly is something for everyone

3. Their resorts are AWESOME- we stayed in a (gasp) value resort (after our last value resort experience at another location, we said we’d never do it again). It had SO MUCH VALUE AND SO MANY AMENITIES. The room itself was MASSIVE and bright and airy! It didn’t have exterior entry. A WALKING PATH TO VOLCANO BAY. Water slides at the pools! A lazy river. Lots of dining options. A bowling alley. And so much more! Being able to stay value and actually enjoy your trip staying value was HUGE!

4. Close to the port- you’re not right there at the port, but you’re close enough to where you can still take your time checking out and heading over!

A vacation before the vacation. It was the perfect choice to add on to our short cruise!

Why do we always book a balcony cabin when cruising with our toddler, PK? It’s honestly one of the best decisions we’ve made for family travel. 🛳️

✨ Extra Space: During naps or early bedtime, we can step out onto the balcony, sip coffee, and enjoy some quiet time without feeling stuck in a dark room. It’s such a game-changer for those long toddler naps!

✨ The Views: Watching the sunrise together or pointing out dolphins and islands has become a little family tradition. Seeing the world through PK’s eyes—especially from the balcony—is pure magic. 🐬☀️

✨ Quiet Escape: Let’s face it, sometimes we need a breather. Having that private space to recharge as a family is a lifesaver, especially when traveling with a little one.

✨ Safe and Secure: Cruise lines make safety a priority. The balcony doors are super secure, with locks that require adult strength to open. Plus, the railings are high, so we never feel worried about our little explorer, PK.

✨ Ocean Breezes Anytime: There’s nothing quite like stepping outside for fresh air or stargazing once PK is asleep. It makes cruising feel like the ultimate family getaway. 🌊
