MISSION STATEMENT:

The primary purpose of the Corporation shall be to solicit into Athens and Limestone County, Alabama, tourists, historians, naturalists, students, storytellers, artists, musicians, sports events, meetings, and conferences. It shall further attempt to develop tourism through the promotion of permanent attractions, food and entertainment facilities, and special events that will bring tourists into the community. Athens-Limestone County is rich in history, culture and music and the Corporation shall encourage historical, educational, promotional and other activities that will further the interest of the hospitality and tourism industry in Athens and Limestone County, Alabama.
