The People Division is the forward-facing division of the Schey. They focus on recruiting, onboarding, and implementing diversity and inclusion initiatives. Their goal is to maintain the high standard of the Schey’s brand by recruiting and developing the future of the program.

Audrey, Moira, Sadie, Clare, and Tim are constantly looking for ways to grow the Schey and enhance the program. They achieve this by providing unwavering support for each member, being a friendly face, and hosting events to ensure that all members feel included!

Meet the Collaborations Division! 👋🏻
The Collaborations Division works closely with local businesses and charities to support non-profits in their missions. They bring exciting events to both Schey students and all of Ohio University. The division additionally often works with Schey students and Schey alumni to generate engagement with these exciting events!
Olivia, Lexie, Montanna, and Tommy work hard in creating and distributing our discount card, the ExSell Card, planning philanthropic events such as our annual canned food drive and annual toy drive, and generating outreach on behalf of the leadership team is their main goal! Great work team!

External Relations focuses on the Schey’s connections outside the university with our corporate partners, alumni, and executive mentors. The division works on fostering the Schey’s relationships through new engagement events and networking trips that strengthen the connection between our program’s network and students!
Nathan, Kit, Paige, Fiona, and Austin focus on continually growing the program with new corporate parters, alumni, and mentors to maximize the amount of resources and connections available to students in the program each semester! Great work team!

Our Story

Established by the Ohio University Board of Trustees as an academic center in 1997, The Ralph and Luci Schey Sales Centre awards a sales certificate, recognized on the official university transcript, to students upon completion of an 18 credit hour, cross-disciplinary classroom experience. A 300-hour sales internship is included in our sales program. All Ohio University undergraduate students are thus eligible for admission. Sales Certificate Candidates (we average 200+ over the school year) are admitted by a competitive selection process, with an overall acceptance rate of approximately 25%.
