Delegation is necessary if you want to grow and scale, but no marketer, analyst, or consultant can run your business more effectively than you.

We are kicking off our new community initiative, KLOSET Favor for Educators.

Our new community initiative is to support primary school educators with school supplies to lighten the financial burden experienced from lack of resources.

To establish equity in education, the Opportunity Gap must be deconstructed.Ā All students come to school from different backgrounds and have different needs.

When teachersā€™ classrooms are stocked with essential school supplies, they can provide a conducive classroom experience for every student with the tools they need to be prepared, participate, and engage in learning.

This also helps to build self-esteem and confidence, critical for students who are already painfully aware of the sizable gap between the haveā€™s and the have notā€™s. By addressing the Opportunity Gap, we work toward a more equal playing field and dismantle a generational cycle.

Recently on a Coaching Call, someone asked me ā€œWhat are the things you have to ensure you have, or be willing to sacrifice, when you decide to operate with a lean team vs. a heavy team?ā€

When you choose to grow by throwing people at your problems, you sacrifice profit.

When you choose to grow with a lean team but leverage processes to solve your problems, you dramatically increase profit.

Hereā€™s why...

As youā€™re enroute to your first $1M in revenue, you are laying the foundational infrastructure of your business.

You are refining your program promise, learning how to articulate your value proposition, discovering how to overcome offer objections, developing your core operating processes, discovering your company culture, evolving your leadership skills to not just delegate tasks but delegate decision making, you are responsible for it all.

You are Michael Jordan in the 90s. You are carrying the team to the playoffs.

Without these core points of clarity and defined processes in place, bringing more bodies onto the court without giving them a clear playbook to follow, will set you and them up to lose.

Scaling a successful business model is SO MUCH MORE than just marketing tactics and sales strategies.

Those things are important and being able to do them well will get you to $10K to $30K months.

In order to break through that level (which is where most Founders plateau), you must start doing the work thatā€™s in the fine print of being a CEO.

Redefining your business model, ensuring your offers are leveraged and actually scalable.

Attracting your first key hires, finding your Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman so you can take the business beyond just the first round of the playoffs and actually get a shot at the championship.

And you must evolve your relationship with money.

You know how to make it, but now youā€™ve got to operationally learn how to move and manage it.

This is YOUR responsibility and your responsibility alone as the CEO.

What would your business look like if you finished your TO-DO List EVERY single day?

How much MORE success would you experience, if you did the things you said you would?

While you think on that, I want to talk about SELF INTEGRITY.

Self Integrity is whether or not you can keep your own word to yourself.

Iā€™ve met loads of Nonprofit Founders, like you, who are trying to build a business around their passions, while helping others.

But after years of watching them in action, it got me thinkingā€¦
..why is it that some are able to scale their organizations to six figures within a yearā€”while others constantly struggle to get going?

It isnā€™t about their age, because Iā€™ve seen both young and old successfully scale.

It isnā€™t about their gender, because you and I both personally know people who identify as either and have been successful in community impact.

And itā€™s not solely the formula or strategy they follow, because if it was, then everyone who purchased the SAME program would have the SAME results, and that just doesnā€™t happen, right?

What it IS about, is their commitment to do what they say they willā€”not only to othersā€”but to themselves.

I know how easy it is to rationalize putting something off.

But in doing so, youā€™re breaking your own word.

And when you break your own word, youā€™re also risking your productivity.

Now understand that Iā€™m not saying that you should ā€œhustle until your eyes bleedā€ but I am saying that you should create to-do lists that you can STICK to and THEN STICK TO THEM.

That is what successful Founders do.

That is why theyā€™re so productive.

Because at the end of the day, successful Founders have conditioned themselves to hold an unbreakable word to themselves. And because of that, theyā€™re succeeding.

When you first started your business, you knew it would be an uphill battle...

Have you been only focused on making money or have you been focused on earning profit?

These are two totally separate things!

Oftentimes, we get caught up in the hype of collecting pennies that we lose sight of making the dollars.

Making money will get you to a place of financial stability.

But thatā€™s not the end goal. When you focus on profit first, you position yourself to experience financial security.

Iā€™ve been able to do that by:
A. Reducing the complexity in my operations by growing with a lean team, streamlining my client delivery and documenting core business processes.
B. Increasing my profit margins by removing dependency from webinars, tech heavy funnels and unpredictable paid ads - growing with organic marketing through live stream videos, strategically repurposing content and engaging my audience.
C. Simplifying my business model to only sell high ticket group coaching programs (no DIY courses or hourly strategic sessions).

I decided early on that I was going to do everything within my control to maintain high profit margins.

Reason being, this business is my retirement plan. And in the first five to ten years of our existence, I want to leverage as much of the profit as possible to fund my future lifestyle, not just the one I am living today.

This isnā€™t the most common path you see coaches taking in our industry, but itā€™s the one Iā€™ve chosen to take.

It works! And I have the receipts to prove it.
