We will be at the other end of the room.

Entering from Wells Street:
Go in front door.

Go through the door at the top, and there we will be.

To honor Martin Luther King, Jr. and to remember and acknowledge the connection Lindy Hop has to Civil and Human Rights, two things were shared during the announcements last night:

1. The article "Jitterbugging with Jim Crow" published by The Bitter Southerner and written by former dance community member Nicole Baran. https://bittersoutherner.com/jitterbugging-with-jim-crow-lindy-hop-swing-music

This shares the history of Swing Music and Lindy Hop in Atlanta. It also mentions how this dance is more about feeling freedom than depicting happiness, and how this dance can be a platform for further liberation.

Moms Mabley was an actress and comedian, and she became well-known on the Chitlin' Circuit (the Black vaudeville circuit). In this video, she lends her Louis Armstrong-like rasp to a song about some of the American men who were killed because of their pursuit of equal rights.
