Emory Bayit

Emory Bayit This is the page for the Emory Bayit, a community of ten Jewish Emory University students. Come check out what's happening at 764 Peavine Creek Road!

The Emory Bayit provides its residents with more than a Jewish living experience – it fosters a dynamic environment whose objective is to stimulate personal growth, leadership development, Jewish education, and commitment to Jewish community and traditions. The Bayit is a facility that allows observant Jewish students to practice Kashrut, Shabbat, holidays, and other customs with ease, yet fosters

a warm community committed to a pluralistic Jewish lifestyle. Most Bayits share key features like a kosher kitchen and student-led programming, but each Bayit takes on a unique culture. Since this will be only the second year Emory has had a Bayit, we have the opportunity to continue creating something special. Our Bayit brings Jewish students from different backgrounds and varying levels of religious observance together under one roof for a fun and meaningful living-learning experience.
