Are cities, museums, restaurants, and nightlife your thing, or would you prefer to be deep in the woods away from modern life? Is a hotel just a place to sleep or a part of your

vacation? The answers to all these questions (and more!) are key to planning a great trip. Your itinerary, activities, and accommodation need to match your - and any travel companions - definition of vacation. I listen to you and learn about your travel preferences, interests, style, and budget. Then design a trip to match your desires. I take care of all the details, including accommodations, transportation, itinerary, directions, activities, reservations, guides, etc. You then enjoy your trip knowing you have 24/7 support during your travels should the need arise. I always advise clients to consider a long layover when booking flights; it can help with jet lag and feels like a “bonus” prize! My flight back from Kenya included a stopover in Paris with enough time to walk the lovely streets of the Montmartre neighborhood and up to the Sacré-Cœur. Where would you like to go? Conservation in action! Seeing the work of the Sheldrick Trust which rescues orphaned rhinos and elephants. They work with them 24/7 for 3-5 years prepping them to return to the wild; the
Giraffe center which is breeding the endangered Rothschild giraffe; and the Ivory burning site which destroys ivory confiscated from poachers. All of these sites are located within/near the Nairobi National Park where we saw wild rhino, giraffe, buffalo, impalas, hippos, impala , ostrich, baboons, vervet monkeys, hartebeest, crocodiles and multiple birds right in the shadow of the city!

Golden monkeys share their habitat with the mountain gorilla (and forest elephant, buffalo and other animals too). Rwanda is working hard to expand the habitat these animals call home. Strictly controlled trekking protocols allow you to experience this magnificent environment and support the conservation effort too.

Atlanta area folks, be aware of a 90 day road closure near I-85 at North Druid Hills starting at 9 pm april 26th. The bridge on N. Druid Hills, between Buford Highway and the I85 overpass is being replaced and the interchange being upgraded. The detour will add at least 15 min. to the regular drive time. See GDOT map below.

A total solar eclipse is amazing, miss this one? Your next chance includes Spain in 2026, but there are many other astronomical events to enjoy.
The night sky itself is gorgeous and annual meteor showers give you plenty of stars to wish upon. Dynamic Escapes has taken and planned many trips to dark sky sites across the world, including Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Australia, Chile and Tanzania. Important info for folks who use MARTA to get to/from the ATL airport! Plan ahead and assume it will take at least extra 30 minutes to get to the airport.

Check out this pedestrian bridge-to-be! ATL area folks, did you know that PATH400 is being extended towards the Perimeter area? I recently took a “hard hat” tour of the project.

Soaring over Nancy Creek, near the Mountain Way Common park, this bridge is a key part of the project and will provide great views too!

Pedestrian and bike trails are a wonderful amenity for citizens and a great way for visitors to explore a city. Contact me for info on ATL area trails or ideas on other cities that you can discover via pedestrian trails.

Check out that gait! Giraffes are unique in so many ways: They walk one sidely - meaning they move both legs on each side of their body forward simultaneously. They have the longest legs of any mammal and a correspondingly long stride; then there is their neck, accounting for about 1/3 of their total height, AND their prehensile tongue, which is 18-20 inches long! Put it all together, and you have a gorgeous sight as the giraffe moves across the savannah. Seeing wild giraffes is just one highlight of visiting East Africa.
