Brian Field is the founder of FIELD Landscape Architecture and a licensed landscape architect in both New York and Georgia, He has over 12 years of national and international experience designing and building residential, commercial and public space projects. Brian most recently worked at Hollander Design Landscape Architects, an award-winning firm that specializes in luxury residential design i

n New York City, NY, the Hamptons and throughout the Northeast United States. Previous to Hollander Design, Brian spent 4 years at AECOM (formally EDAW), an international, multi-disciplinary firm, where he worked on commercial and civil projects, including: the World Trade Center Streetscapes in the Financial District; LaGuardia Children’s Garden in the West Village; Transmitter Park in Brooklyn; Pike and Allen Center Streets Mall in Brooklyn; Bush Terminal Piers in Brooklyn; Steeple Chase Plaza Coney Island in Brooklyn and Bonyan office park just outside of Cairo, Egypt. He started his career at the Central Park Conservancy in New York City, NY, where he spent his time developing designs and overseeing restoration projects for iconic outdoor spaces in Central Park. Brian received a bachelors degree in landscape architecture from the School of Environmental Design at the University of Georgia. During his undergraduate work, Brian spent time working for the highly acclaimed resort and hospitality design firm EDSA in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Great to see the progress coming along on our Pine Hills residence.

We always love discovering new materials to work with. The site walls here are clad in granite from Quebec. Blue and gray hues from the stone walls meld with the pool and patio, making for a cohesive visual connection throughout the site. We can’t wait to get planting in and see this beautiful space come to life.

Recently completed cafe plaza and surrounding landscape at Ameris Center in Atlanta.

FIELD LA took an in-depth look at existing site conditions to see how we could improve circulation, usability, and stormwater management. Through meticulous design and collaboration with , the team created spaces, adaptive to the user's needs. The upper plaza, populated with movable site furniture and lined with willow oaks, provides a shaded space for people to connect with the outside. Adjacent to the seating area is a central lawn that provides additional seating. The bioswale in the lower area is filled with native river birch and red maples to mitigate stormwater runoff as well as create seasonal interest and a home for wildlife.

The space melds the needs of a functional landscape and creates a habitable space for both people and wildlife.
