- What the hell is Nerd Night? Nerd Nite is a monthly global speaker and entertainment series held at pubs/bars/restaurants around the WORLD. In fact, Atlanta is the 53rd chapter of Nerd Nite, and one of the newest (sure to be best) chapters. Every month each chapter hosts an event in their city that generally follows the following format: three 20 minute talks, and two sets of entertainment in be

tween. Talks can be about anything and everything nerdy as long as it’s something the speaker loves: cheese, Mr. T collectibles, academic research, sharks, skydiving, whatever! It’s like the Discovery Channel…with beer! That’s right beer! Nerd Nite is as much about mirth as it is about learning, so we encourage everyone to imbibe, eat, laugh, and ask questions.

- When and Where does one go to see a Nerd Nite in Atlanta? The current Nerd Nite ATL home is Smoke Ring BBQ in Castleberry Hill. They offer a Nerd Nite special for attendees ($1 jumbo smoked wings + $4 420's). Events will be held on the Third Wednesday of Each Month starting in September.

Alright nerds. NN IS CANCELLED AGAIN THIS MONTH. due to not being able to get consistent speakers who don't flake at the last minute.
I am also cancelling march. I am going to regroup. Maybe bring in a cohost to help organize and see if we can get this puppy back on the road. If April doesn't come together then I may have to shut the whole thing down.

If you are someone you know would make a great nerd nite speaker and can commit to the third Thursday of any month April and thereafter, please reach out to me through pm here. I really want to get things back up and running like before the renovation and this just isn't cutting it. Holler!

Hey nerds! So, I know it was sad to miss nerd nite this week, but allow me to invite you to an equally awesome event. Next Sunday kicks off the high carnivore holiday of meat week! We eat at 8 BBQ restaurants 8 days in a row, once a year. Learn more and come on out. MEAT BE WITH YOU.

Meat Week is a national holiday started in 2005. Each January, for 8 consecutive nights, people across the country gather over piles of BBQ.

Hey nerds! I am sad to announce, we have to cancel nerd nite this month, due to speakers having emergencies and backing out last minute. a bit of a new problem. Hi all! Just an FYI: we've decided to take this month off of Nerd Nite as a little breather after 12 straight months of nerd nite-ing it. We'll be back in October with some boss talks. We're bringing "boss" back!
