Yeah, it was a perfect day for a bike ride with three Germans! Lucky, who moved to Atlanta 16 years ago with her young family always brings her out-of-the-country visitors on a bike tour -- and we are so grateful!

It was an awesome day at BTA today. Originally, we had 12 guests signed up for the 2:30, Atlanta's Journey For Civil Rights Tour. Because of the forecast, Walt and Tim took out half the folks who could come out earlier. These fine Canadian musicians with a band called https://nafrodance.com/ arrived at Hartsfield-Jackson at noon, and rain started about the time they arrived for a walking tour. They are on their way to tour in Africa, with a 10:00 pm flight tonight.

But they were eager to spend time learning about the significant events leading up to the Civil War, post-war Reconstruction, Jim Crow Atlanta, the modern-day Civil Rights Movement, and more -- as well as issues of social justice our nation continues to struggle with in this current climate.

At Bicycle Tours of Atlanta, we are honored to be able to share these stories and hope more Americans will seek ways of learning this important history.

It was wonderful spending this day with these proud Canadians.

These guests came from the Seattle, WA area Vancouver, BC to learn about “Atlanta’s Journey for Civil Rights.” We’re honored that they included us in their travels through the Southeast — Selma and Montgomery, AL and Jackson, MS as well as Atlanta — to immerse themselves into this rich and difficult topic. They say they left with a whole new perspective.

Mother nature smiled on our bike tour today! A big thanks to our dedicated staff, Walt Haber and Troy Lynch, and all the guests who were determined to come out and enjoy a beautiful spring day in the ATL!

We did the Big Peach route today on a private tour for Peter's brirthday celebration! A total of 15 miles, from the Old Fourth, Sweet Auburn, Jackson Street Bridge, Olympic Park, Georgia Tech Campus, Peachtree Street in Midtown, Piedmont Park, Atlanta Beltline, Inman Park, Krog Street Tunnel , Cabbagetown, Oakland Cemetery, Fetch, and stopped at King of Pops!

Fun was had by all!

Sunday's tour was awesome with Cory Thompson back on the scene! A great time was had by all. It was a beutiful day....spring has sprung!

As a tour guide, it doesn't get much better than a day like today. Vanessa and Mario, from New Jersey, were in Atlanta, celebrating their 8th wedding anniversary on a gorgeous spring day. Look at them...all crazy about each other! They were so delightful! We laughed, they learned stuff, we shared some personal stories, and had a blast! I'm giving these guests 5-stars!

It was a special day at BTA today! The APD joined us for a ride-along! We felt an elevated level of respect on the streets of Atlanta. A huge thank you to Tracey, Sergeant Berry, Sergeant Greenwood, Officer Miller, Zackary, and Simba for making our day truly exceptional! Thanks to Timothy Craig Cordier and Troy Lynch for making it a safe adventure!

From Little Five Points and the Outkast Mural to talking politics at the State Capitol building, and everything in between, our guests enjoyed a mash-up of Atlanta's Journey for Civil Rights and Fall in Love with Atlanta. Thanks to Karen, Bob, and Kian, for bringing a load of curosity today! It was a blast!

What a great group of guests today! A family of four is in town from Texas for the Peach Bowl (note the “hook ‘em horns” gesture and the burnt orange apparel. The other couple came to Atlanta for a wedding. Everyone left the tour with a whole new appreciation for the Capitol of the South.
