Travel Tips: Tulum
The best airport to fly into is Cancun. It is almost a 2 hours transfer or ride to Tulum from the Cancun airport. The ride is not bad at all, depending on what time of day you fly in, you may be able to see some sights along the way or stop at a few places before you get to Tulum.

City Highlights
Breathe it in...the salty air and the smell of sweet floral incenses...exhale slowly. You have arrived in Tulum.

The "Magic of Tulum" is the reason it has become such an extraordinary destination. Tulum has it all, healing, history, chill vibe, it's quaint and intimate, a great party scene, and gorgeous beaches. Who could ask for more??? It's a destination that you can get around on a scooter or bicycle. There is a strong military presence so you feel safe. The food is amazing and plentiful...every few steps is a restaurant, with authentic food. The environment makes you want to get out and explore. There is a tour or site for every enthusiast.

The Mayan Ruins is one of the most popular attractions in Tulum. Tulum offers one of the only Mayan forts on the water. Another popular attraction are cenotes (fresh water swimming holes). These refreshing swim spots are a must when visiting Tulum.

During our visit we rode around on scooters, explored the ruins, the beach, went snorkeling, swam with turtles and sting rays, took a boat ride to see Tulum by water, ate some amazing food (I even ate a grasshopper 🦗), we danced the night away and experienced GOD on a whole other level.

Touching Moments
The Z Experience & Teal's Takeover Tours has been nothing shy of amazing. We have seen some beautiful places in the last few months. We had some amazing experiences, and partied with the best of them. When we got to Tulum, our intentions were all about connecting with Spirit, taking our intimacy and connection with GOD to another level, deepening our connection with each other and planning out the next phase of our lives. We got that and so much more.

Tulum gave us connectivity with all things. Our room had no television, phone or computer. We were completely unplugged. Our entertainment was indulging in the culture, talking to the people, our neighbors and the locals. We meet backbackers from Germany and France and a whole family (3 generations) who came there for a spiritual experience as well. It was nice to sit out and talk with people and eat authentic, fresh food. Our journey was filled with fasting, mediation, journaling, we each had a DMT experience and a Bufo (toad) detox. We seriously did not want to leave. Tulum embrace us with open arms and showed us nothing but peace, tranquility, love, adventure, inner connectivity and an outer knowing.

Tulum helped us experience GOD, universal consciousness, love and life on a whole new level. This leg of our tour gave us everything that we were looking for. We leave with gratitude, peace, oneness, new friendships, a golden glow and a longing to get back to Tulum already. Please, please please make sure you get to this magical, authentic Mexican destination.

Tulum has forever changed who I am and I am forever grateful for it!!! Tulum showed me many ways on how to live my life in color and I am riding that color stroke all through 2022!!!

Flagler Beach, just 20 miles from Daytona Beach, is a beautiful, clean, eclectic, beach town. The town is filled with quaint little restaurants, shops and spas. If you are looking for a nice less populated area that's "Off The Beaten Path", other than Daytona Beach or Orlando, check out Flagler Beach.

Tasty Tour Continues

Ok, we are still traveling and I have a few new taste to put y'all on to. Since last week, we have been to Kansas City, Missouri, St. Louis, Missouri, and Chicago, Illinois. I'm going to share a few tasty reviews:

Kansas City, Missouri
Gates Bar-B-Q
Known for it's Bar-B-Q sauce and seasonings, Gates has several locationsspreadaroundKansasCity. .
I ordered a half chicken box with fries and baked beans. The food was a good portion, the chicken was served with 2 pieces of light bread. Overall the chicken was flavored, seasoned and sauced very well. It was a bit greasy and heavy for me to eat late at night though. But I would recommend, that if you are passing through Kansas City to try this black owned restaurant for yourself.

Sweet Pie's Upper Crust
We had lunch at Sweet Pie's. This is a normal stop for us, for a few years now, when we travel to the midwest. I only ordered dessert this time because the Gates food the night before was still so heavy, that I didn't want anything for lunch. The family a wing plate and a few veggie plates. This time, unfortunately we didn't taste the same passion and flavor that we normally do when we eat there. My desserts were pretty good, I had a peach cobbler and a slice of pound cake. They were decent but not the best I've ever had. This will probably be our last time eating there. We will be looking for another eatery, the next time we are in St. Louis.

FireLake Bar & Grill is inside the Radisson Blu hotel. We had several meals throughout our stay at the restaurant and in room dining. My favorite dish for breakfast was the breakfast biscuit (chicken sausage, sautéed spinach, arugula, and xheese) with breakfast potatoes and avocado 🥑. Delicious 😋 My favorite dinner was actually an appetizer, the Salmon sliders with a side of fries. The bread was light and crispy, the salmon was seasoned perfectly and the were complimented with an aoli sauce. Phenomenal! I highly recommend this restaurant, even if you are not staying at the hotel...it's worth the Uber.

Rosati's, was not our first choice for deep-dish 🍕 but they did not disappoint. We ordered late, so alot of places had already closed. Make note that Rosati's stays open until 1am even on Sundays. They have tons of specialty pizzas to choose from, but we choose to create our own. We ordered a large deep dish, half cheese and half mushrooms🍄/spinach🥬 and a cup of black olives on the side. The sauce on the top was not over bearing, the slices were a good size and it was piping hot. The only thing I didn't like was there tirumusu, it was frozen and tasted store bought. We would definitely eat there again though!

Harold's was our last stop before getting on the train. We order a whiting fish box and a white chicken box, both with fries, one with Mac and cheese and the other cole slaw. The location was busy, customer service was ok, and the speed of getting your food was good considering it was cooked to order. I used that time to read up in the history of the establishment. The children box was good but the mac and cheese was very bland. My fish was cooked to hard, but I ate what I could. We would try them again, just maybe a different location.

Tasty Tuesday

I am a true foodie and we have had some amazing food on this tour. Here is a small write up on each:

Mason Social- Alexandria, VA

Nestled in the quaint neighborhood, Parker-Gray District, full of character and culture. Mason Social serves what I call Southern Fusion dishes. They serve drinks out of Mason jars and some Southern favorites, fried chicken, fried green tomatoes, and shrimp & grits. The service was great, we were greeted and seated immediately. Their signature drink is delicious. I ordered Shrimp & Grits (without the pork rub and substituted the shrimp for salmon) with a side of fried green tomatoes.

Uncle C's Chicken & Waffles- Alexandria, VA

Newly opened, this restaurant takes old combinations and give them a new twist. This restaurant is centrally located off I-495. It's a must try!!! I ordered 3pc fried fish, waffle, and sautéed spinach. 😋 The fish was a golden brown and cooked to perfection. The waffle was light and fluffy and the sautéed spinach was seasoned just right. 🍴 🍴 🍴 🍴 🍴

Condado Tacos. Tequila. Margaritas- Detroit, MI

Tacos anyone!!! 🌮 I'm always in the mood for Mexican food and a good Margarita 🍹. This place did not disappoint. Down in the electic Midtown neighborhood of Detroit. Small, cute, and artsy. The walls are decorated with unique colorful murals and the bar is fully stocked with more tequila then you can count. I ordered queso dip, Sweet Lucy Double Decker taco (hard and soft shell, roasted mushrooms, smoked cheese, lettuce, avocado 🥑 ranch sauce. I tried a delicious refreshing harvest pear margarita 🍐. The family ordered build your own nachos and classic soft tacos. We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed the beautiful mild temperatures of Detroit.

As we continue to travel, we will continue to taste wonderful and delicious food. Open your pallet and expand your mind to new foods.

***Here's a tip for you, sometimes you may not be able to travel, but you can find a restaurant of the cuisine of where you would like to go. Take a journey, through the food until you can get to the location. ***

DAY 02: SUN - Visit the Great Pyramids of Giza and the defending Sphinx, which have stood for the last 5000 years. Continue to ancient Memphis, the first capital of Upper and Lower Egypt. Also visit Sakkara, site of the Step Pyramid of Zoser. In the evening, enjoy a Sound and Light Show presentation at the Giza Pyramids. Overnight in Cairo. (B/L)

DAY 03: MON - Visit the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, which houses the world's largest collection of artifacts from the era of the pharaohs including some belonging to King Tut. Tour Old Cairo, where early Judaism and Christianity flourished in Egypt. Visit sites like the Ben Ezra Synagogue and the Moallaka Church, where the Virgin Mary, Joseph, and the baby Jesus took refuge. After lunch, drive to the Islamic quarter to visit the Great Citadel and visit the Mohamed Ali Mosque, also known as the "Alabaster Mosque". Enjoy a walking tour of the colorful Khan El Khalili Bazaar district. Overnight in Cairo. (B/L)

DAY 04: TUE - You will be transferred to Cairo Airport for your flight to Luxor. Upon arrival Luxor, you will be transferred to your deluxe Nile Cruise for check-in. In the afternoon, visit Luxor Temple dedicated to the god Amon-Ra. It was expanded by Ramses II, who added statues of himself. Visit the magnificent Karnak Temple. In the evening, enjoy a Sound and Light Show presentation at Karnak Temple. Overnight on board. (B/L/D)

DAY 05: WED - Cross the Nile to the West Bank. Visit the Necropolis of Thebes, Colossi of Memnon, Queen Hatshepsut Funerary Temple, and the Valley of the Kings and Queens. Sail to Edfu. Overnight on board. (B/L/D)
