Pocono Mountains

High up in the Pocono Mountains, the crystal clear water of a narrow stream tumbles down the cliffs and makes its way to the Delaware River far, far below. The stream gains speed as it runs towards the first of the eight falls, Pennell Falls, continuing through narrow Laurel Glen and Upper Canyon until it drops dramatically over a 100 foot cliff, creating magnificent Main Falls. It forms a beautiful, deep, cool pool surrounded by ferns and flowers before dropping another 70 feet.

The whole area is intersected with narrow trails and observation areas that offer an unforgettable day of exploring and spectacular views. Get a map of the trails to find the one that appeals most to you. If you are lucky, you can spot many birds that live in this lush area. Wild animals like black bears, foxes, and bobcats are there too but are more elusive. After your hike, you might want to relax with a paddleboat ride, play a game of mini golf, or sit on a bench and feed the ducks.

Fralinger's Original Salt Water Taffy
1901 Boardwalk, Atlantic City, NJ 08401

Now located inside the Bally Casino, Fralinger taffy has been a tradition in Atlantic City since 1884.

Fralinger earned his name as “the king of salt water taffy” as he pioneered a new way to sell it. His time as a fish merchant inspired him to package an assortment of the taffy into one-pound oyster tins. This became Atlantic City’s first souvenir. He was said to have introduced the boxed souvenir taffy on a Saturday and was completely sold out by Sunday.

Eventually, Fralinger opened up various locations and branched out by selling other sweet treats that were based on family recipes such as center-filled taffy, almond macaroons, peanut butter chews, and more. All of which are still enjoyed and loved by many to this day.

Susquehanna Brewing Company is a brewing business that has been owned and operated by the same family for six generations. Individuals as well as groups can take advantage of the free, guided brewery tours that are held on certain days.

The tasting room, where guests can sample Susquehanna's specialty brews, is open from Thursday through Sunday every week. There is also an on-site store where visitors can purchase t-shirts, sweatshirts, baseball caps, glasses, and other branded merchandise.

"Juli's Pink Icecream is a refreshing good point where you need it the most.

It has been my experience that the food in Atlantic City has been generally underwhelming with an overwhelming price. This is not the case for this quaint ice cream shop. There are dozens of options with sundaes, ice cream, shakes, flurry's, etc. If you like it, they probably have it. My husband and I got strawberry shortcake and oreo sundaes respectively. Both were very good, reasonably priced and plentiful. Neither of us could finish our sundaes, but we both really wanted to! That says a lot about the taste. Additionally our server was so nice! She seemed so sweet. Would definitely return again! Highly recommend."
