The Red Pine Cabin has gotten a floor-lift! This new snap floor looks so much better than the ceramic tiles.

Scott got an 8 point buck last night with his bow. We spent all day today processing it. Tomorrow we grind into burger. Very grateful the meat in our freezer for this winter.

Going on Airbnb increased our rentals. Which is good. However, we already have six weeks reserved for summer 2025. So if you are thinking you might want to enjoy staying here next summer, please plan soon. We need your paid reservation to guarantee your week.

Hello friends. In a few short weeks, the leaves will start to change signaling another season. We are taking reservations for fall now. We require a minimum three night stay. There are still tours and activities or just enjoy the amazing color palette of Autumn in the U.P.

We just caught these rock bass and small mouth bass a few yards from the cabin. Yum yum. We have openings for fall colors and ATV riding. Give us a call or email.

Hello friends. We are off to a sluggish start this year. Due to lack of reservations, we have decided to use Airbnb to help advertise our rental. However, we will still take reservations by phone or email as in the past. If you see us on Airbnb you might notice a change in rates. This is only on Airbnb. Our rates have stayed the same and we still give a 10% discount to returning renters. I hope you will consider joining us this summer.

The Red Pine Cabin on the Au Train River still has openings for this summer. We know expenses have increased everywhere, however
we are holding our rates the same for the third year in a row.

Hello friends. The new floor in the upstairs loft is completed. Scott did a great job with it.
Our winter has been slow due to lack of snow and cold temperatures. However, we are accepting reservations for the summer season. Check the calendar on our website to choose the best week for your visit. We are looking forward to having you here.

The leaves are starting to turn. It's the perfect time to come north. Hiking, waterfalls, kayaking, fishing. It's all here. We have plenty of dates available so give us a call. We are on the three night minimum season now.

We went out fishing and had loads of fun! We only brought in these two. Mine is eleven inches and Scott's is 9.5 inches. Rock bass.

The Red Pine Cabin on the AuTrain River is available for renting Aug. 26th through the 9th of September. It is a wonderful time to be here as most tourists have returned home. There are still cruises to Pictured Rocks and most businesses are open into October. We never know for sure when the leaves will start changing but it will be beautiful whenever it happens. We are anxiously awaiting ripe blueberries. We still have a few openings in August.

Scott caught a 22 inch northern pike right off the dock of the Red Pine Cabin. Not a keeper, but fun. We still have a few weeks open in August. Call or email to reserve your vacation.

We kayaked on Monday to check out the flooding situation. All docks are underwater. We saw over 25 turtles clinging to downed trees in the water, trying to get some some rays. The water is starting to recede, but very slowly. Beautiful sunsets already

Yes, the Northern lights were out again last night. These were taken about a mile from our house. The ones with multiple trees were on our road while we were driving home.
