When you go to the beach what do you want to see? THE BEACH, on crystal clear Lake Superior.
Our cottage is located in the village of Au Train where life's a beach! Whether its summer, fall or winter, nature is always inviting with its seasonal changes. It truly is an 'out of city experience' for all seasons. There is nothing like a walk on the beach, a swim in crystal clear water, kayaking/canoeing and fishing til your heart's content, snowmobiling directly from cottage to trail, or just touring the area looking at the beautiful fall colors. Beautiful Lake Superior is the world's largest freshwater lake and it's just a hop, skip, and jump across the road! It is one of the most beautiful beaches in the Upper Peninsula.
Our Cottage IS THE ONLY COTTAGE IN THE VILLAGE WITH A VIEW OF LAKE SUPERIOR!
Enjoy the unique deck while gazing out onto the beautiful blue hues of Lake Superior and listening to the waves crashing against the shoreline. Imagine this moment! The cottage is set back in a private area off the road and adjoins the owner's property. Plenty of trees for a privacy buffer. The cottage is the only rental on the property! We have plenty of area for boats, trailers, campers, etc. We have 5 kayaks for guests inc. paddles and Cabela's life vests. If guests want to haul the kayaks across the street to the kayak launch, they are free to use. If guests would like us to haul up river, the cost is $20 per kayak, per day use. The cottage is located on the DNR trail so there are snowmobiles or ATV's on the trail, especially on the weekends. The cottage has all foam insulation which deadens the sound, however, if you are looking for someplace out in the country where there is absolutely no noise, then this is not the place for you. We live next door and the noise doesn't bother us. It is all in the view and the location close to the Lake Superior beach and the the Au Train River that is important to us.
