Most of us have ridden on a bike. Most of us have ridden on a train on a train track. But have you ever ridden a bike on a train track? On today’s edition of Partido Family Adventures, that is exactly what we’re going to do!

Our adventure today will take us to the Pacific Northwest and a company called Rail Cycle at Mt Rainier. Located in Eatonville, Washington, its about an 1 1⁄2 drive from Seattle. So what is a rail cycle?

Take a vehicle like this and attach 4 seats with pedals on it. Make a lot of vehicles like this and line them up like a train. Get a group together, ranging from young kids to older adults. Open up the train tracks for these vehicles, and you got a rail cycle.

And then, start pedaling away as you make your way through the wilderness on the train tracks. You could have two adults and two little kids, but realize that the two adults will be doing all of the work. Its better when all four people are pedaling and helping to move the vehicle.

The exercise is great and the views are spectacular, especially during the summer.

So come and join us as we cycle on the rails at Mt. Rainier, on this edition of Partido Family Adventures.

Guide Along
https://guidealong.com/

Today, our family travels to the island of Maui. It will be both a vacation and a mission trip as we help those affected by the Maui fires.

The island of Maui is one of the most beautiful places on earth. But in 2023, Maui had one of the most destructive fires in United States history. The city of Lahaina, located in West Maui, was completely decimated. But there were also fires in the city of Kula, which destroyed dozens of homes and acres of land.

In our desire to help the victims of Maui, we were blessed to join up with Praying Pelican Missions. Their mission is to build up, encourage, and assist local churches in serving and reaching their communities for Christ. When disaster strikes, churches are usually on the front lines in serving the community and volunteers. During the Maui fires, Praying Pelican Missions partnered with organizations in Lahaina and Kula to directly help the victims and volunteers.

In Kula, the fires devastated acres of forests and houses. We were able to help with fire prevention and clean up.

In Lahaina, we worked with Living Way Church in their needs in the community.

Of course, we also made time to relax and tour the island. Places included the famous Hana Hwy and all the sights along the way. We also visited the very peaceful and scene Iao Valley and Iao Needle. And you can’t come to Maui without taking the 10000 foot summit drive to Haleakala National Park.

So come and join us in Maui.

When you hear the word “hiking,” what are the images that come to your mind?

Maybe you think of driving far away from the city to enjoy a very secluded and scenic path in the forest or mountains. You’ll probably spend the next few hours enjoying the scenery, the sunshine, and the joys of being outdoors. And when you get to the end, the views are spectacular.

But what if I told you about a two hour hike in complete darkness from start to finish, and the only light you have are your headlamp and flashlight. Would you still be interested?

That’s exactly what we did, at a place called Ape Caves in Washington State. Ape Caves is an old lava tube that is part of Mount Saint Helens in Washington State.

It's about a 3 ½ hour drive south from Seattle on I-5, and then east into the mountains, close to the Oregon Border.

We’d like to invite you to join us, on this edition of Partido Family Adventures.

Today, our snowshoeing adventure will take east from Seattle along I-90. After driving through Snoqualmie Pass, we’ll exit the freeway and arrive at this place called Gold Creek Pond. This path is easy. Its very flat and great for beginners. Its a 2 mile round trip hike that will take us to and from the pond.

Hello Everyone.  On today’s edition of Partido Family Adventures, we head up to carve some nice snow on a ski trip to White Pass.  Don’t miss it.

White Pass is about a 3 hour drive from Seattle.  Its about 12 miles Southeast of Mt. Rainier National Park at the summit of US HWY 12. White Pass is not a big park. But, its the perfect size for the beginner as well as the expert.  There are a total of 8 ski lifts. Whatever your expertise level, there’s something for everyone here.   The mountain has all kinds of paths…. from the slow and easy bunny slopes for beginners to the fast pace extremely steep double black diamond runs for the experts.

Whatever your skill level, there’s nothing quite like letting gravity take you down the mountain over a thick powder of snow and surrounded by an amazing wintery landscape.

Sounds like a fun time?  Well we invite you to join us as we ski on White Pass, on this edition of Partido Family Adventures.

Hello Everyone. On today’s edition of Partido Family Adventures, we’re going to do something we’ve never done before. We’re traveling to Hawaii, getting on a boat, and try to find one of the most majestic animals in God’s creation: the humpback whale. You don’t want to miss this.

Every year from November through May, it's estimated that more than 12,000 humpback whales leave the cold winter waters of Alaska and travel to the warm waters of Hawaii to breed, calve, and nurse their young.

You can see the whales from shore, but probably the best way to observe them is on a boat. Today, we will hop on board Pink Sails Waikiki for an unforgettable whale watching tour. The tour starts at 8am and goes on for 2 hours, off the shores of Waikiki. The scenery is beautiful and observing a whale is simply amazing.

Hello Everyone. Leavenworth, Washington, otherwise known by many in the area as Washington State’s little Christmastown.

Several years ago, we were driving along Highway 2 in December in the late evening. It was dark. There was snow on the ground when suddenly, we came across what appeared to be several lit Christmas trees a hundred feet tall. We stopped, turned into the intersection, and discovered a brightly lit town in the middle of nowhere. It was the town of Leavenworth.

Ever since then, we’ve returned every year to enjoy the beautiful Christmas scenery. During the Christmas season, over 200,000 people come to Leavenworth. Christmas celebrations here usually start after Thanksgiving, and the visitors who come get to enjoy a town that’s filled with Christmas carolers and over half a million Christmas lights.

And get this…you might even get to see Buddy the Elf( elf live ) walking down the street.

We invite you to join us as we celebrate Christmas, on this edition of Partido Family Adventures.

Hello Everyone. On today’s family adventure, we leave the fast pace of the city and head to the very tranquil, the very peaceful and majestic Grand Teton National Park.

The park is open 365 days a year. Summer is obviously the best time to visit, as everything is open. With Spring and Fall, and especially Winter, restaurants. visitor centers, and hiking paths are usually closed due to weather, but there’s not as much crowds to deal with.

We decided to visit during the Spring and we’ll show you exactly how it was, on this edition of Partido Family Adventures.

Today, we will be taking a road trip to visit our neighbor’s up north and visit the beautiful country of Canada. More specifically, we head to the southwestern province of British Columbia and the city of Vancouver. Vancouver BC is about a 3-4 hour drive from Seattle, Washington and we’ll be spending the weekend there.

One of the many fun places to visit in Vancouver is the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. The park is filled with paths that cross rivers, connect trees, and hug the canyon walls.

We’ll also do an Asian food tour on the famous Robson Street in the heart of downtown, and then an afternoon driving tour of Vancouver.
