Shared-use trails are exactly that; they can be used for hiking, snowshoeing, ATV-ing, snowmobiling, Nordic skiing, mountain biking, and horseback riding. This time of year, snowmobiling is one of the best ways to view our dazzling landscapes. The extensive Interconnected Trail System (ITS) runs on our Public Reserved Lands and state parks to local trails or those designated for ATVs and snowmobiles.

When you feel like stepping away from the bustle of downtown and into the stillness of the woods, we recommend a short trail like Bonney Woods in Farmington. It's close enough to the shopping, appointment, movie, etc. you're about to head to, but quiet enough to feel like you can breathe. 10/10
