🍁 The annual Native Craft Fair this past weekend was a great way to celebrate & honor Native American Heritage Month! Being surrounded by artists from different tribes & nations all over California was educational & inspiring.
🍁 Let us continue to stay informed about the history of this region while connecting with our modern-day Native American craftsmen & community leaders! 🍁 Happy Indigenous People's Day! We recognize and honor the Nisenan (Maidu) Native Nation, which the majory of Placer County land resides in, as well as the Washo Native Nation, which the area surrounding Lake Tahoe is made up of, and the Miwok peoples, who are a part of the United Auburn Indian Community! We encourage you to visit the Maidu Museum in Roseville, CA to learn more about this region's history. It is through recognizing the actions of the past that we can actively improve the present, in hopes of a brighter future! ✨️
🍁 The Maidu Museum is hosting a Native Craft Fair November 9th (9am - 3pm), where you can find locally hand-crafted Natice American art, jewelry, and more!
🍁 As the Sierra Native Alliance says, celebrate and honor "Families and Children of Yesterday and Today". We encourage you to stop by the Auburn Big Time Pow Wow at the Gold Country Fairgrounds Saturday, October 19th (10am - 9pm), where there will be traditional dance, food, drink, art, and demonstrations!

The Auburn Wine, Ale, & Food Festival yesterday was divine! Thank you to The Station Public House for serving up delectable appetizers, and thank you to LoneBuffalo Vineyards for providing tastings of your finest reds, whites, and rosé's. Thank you to the 400+ lovely folks who visited our Auburn CA Welcome Center in celebration of this region's dazzling agricultural delicacies! Until next year with the Placer Wine Trail ! ✨️
