One of the “perks” of being our guests at the Cottage is that we give you a punch card for The ARC and Bull Pin Restaurant to use during a week long stay!

It’s a great way to get your workout in, walk a few laps, grab a pick up game of Pickleball, shoot some hoops, or enjoy some bowling, grab some cocktails and a bite in the Bull Pin! The kids will have fun in the arcade & play area!

We love decorating the cottage with vintage & treasured antiques….some were passed down from my Grandma Beemer and Rob’s Grandma Olsen.
Antique thread spools 🧵 bright vintage tablecloths, crackled ceramic containers, vintage books are placed all throughout the cottage for guests to view.
Of course these items are just for decor but they add cozy character and color to the 104 year old craftsman style cottage.

Our hope is that everyone who enters the cottage feels like they are welcomed by cozy, comfortable surroundings to relax with their family & friends. Kind of like a warm hug from grandma!

Looking for fun things to do while you are staying at the Cozy Craftsman Cottage?
You have to visit the farmers market on Thursday afternoons in the square in downtown Audubon.
I found delicious fresh produce at the C66 Cottage Market stand today! Just look at Cathy’s darling, market display! You had me at gingham 🥰
I was also excited to find some delectable baked goods and fresh eggs at neighboring stands too! My family loved all of my goodies I brought home.

A lot can happen in two weeks and we’ve been sooo busy we forgot to introduce ourselves!

We are Rob & Tracey Olsen….We’ve been married almost 23 years and have parented 3 sons & 1 daughter.

I grew up the oldest of six kids on a farm & graduated from Bedford located in SW Iowa. I loved studying Interior Design at the Univ of Arkansas in Fayetteville & my passion has always led me back to making living spaces beautiful, cozy, comfortable & inviting!

Rob grew up and graduated from Audubon, where his brother, Doug & family and his dad reside. Rob went on to excelling in the education field for 26 years & now works with a consulting firm helping school districts across the country.

We knew we wanted to invest in a progressive small town in Iowa with a short term vacation rental and when this opportunity arose, it became a reality.
We appreciate all of the support from the community and we look forward to hosting travelers coming to Audubon and the surrounding area of West Central Iowa.

Welcome to the Cozy Craftsman Cottage in Audubon! July 1st we went live on Airbnb for short term vacation rentals.

It’s getting exciting……we are putting the finishing touches on the Cozy Craftsman Cottage! Hard to believe we just closed on it last Monday afternoon 😃

We don’t have our internet hooked up yet (scheduled for next Tuesday) and I must say there’s something special about working in silence all day 😆 I found myself listening to every sound the house makes and wondered what these walls would say?!
We’re looking forward to hosting our Open House 🏡 this Sunday from 1-3pm and hear what you all have to say about the cottage!

Yesterday was Move In Day-part 1 & it was definitely a hot 🥵 one! We had the best help from nephew Aaron, his friends Colton & Oliver & our son Gage for all of the heavy lifting! Who wouldn’t love having four strong athletic guys helping out?! They all were fantastic workers especially with a few flights of stairs carrying furniture ⬆️ up!
They even tried out the tandem bike but I didn’t get a pic!
Also a special thanks to brothers Doug & Rob for their moving expertise of moving furniture 🪑 thru doorways!
Now onto Day 2 of more moving in tomorrow!
