Hey Augusta πŸ‘‹πŸ½

Friends, we have all been hit hard. We're feeling rough, a bit battered and some of us are really looking forward to a hot shower and some normalcy. Which, if we're being honest, probably isn't on the cards for another day or more.

That's ok. We're going to be ok.

We hope you are all safe, and that you are able to get the help you need to deal with the storm damage. Facebook and Instagram are full of lists on available resources, businesses that are open, and to see everyone rallying around to help each other is utterly heartwarming!

As this drags on, we would love to see people continue to be decent human beings, helping neighbors, being patient with people around us so that we can all get through this together. (Our local businesses will definitely need help & customers to support them when they reopen!)

And please, don't be afraid to ask folks that are in need of help, "how can I help you?" It's amazing how much can get done when people come together as a community! That means us, too, please share your needs in the comments and let's help each other out!

We can do this - we love you, Augusta πŸ’™

We had such a great summer, but man, fall is shaping up to be ahhh-mazing. Like, we have Arts in the Heart of Augusta and Ironman all in the next ten days, and right slap in the middle is the grand opening of the Back To Nature Garden Center bistro on September 25th!

The last time we were at Back to Nature was for our carving a pumpkin, and before that we visited to highlight the garden center itself. Laura wrestled a goat and Scott was understandably obsessed with the pig.

Anyhoo, the new bistro will serve a variety of fresh items including soups and sandwiches, salads and light bites - eat on the premises or take your food to go! View the menu and get more info online www.backtonatureaugusta.com/bistro.html

We wish David and his team all the best in their newest venture! Watch the feature video on our YouTube channel here: https://youtu.be/HDlegsbE6eQ?si=lGs9AfRzw49pLB05

As you all know, Love Augusta is here for our entire community and we support all of our local businesses, nonprofits and events. Last month, we were delighted to feature Brown Beauty Magic-Doriane's Character Company, which was founded by Doriane Scales as an inclusive agency providing much-loved characters for events and more.

Dorian wanted everyone to feel seen and wanted. Her agency represented all people, and spread joy throughout Augusta and the wider CSRA πŸ’—

Tragically, Dorian took her own life in 2023. She is deeply missed by those who knew her, but her legacy lives on. Co-founder, Angela Prince has created The Ton ChariTEA Party-Bridgerton Style” and everyone is invited to attend! Dress in regency attire, eat dainty foods enjoy live entertainment and other Bridgertonesque fun! The tea party will take place September 29th @ 2pm at 205 Elkdom Court, Augusta GA. All proceeds benefit the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention and Youth Empowerment Solutions. More info is on their Event Page - facebook.com/events/1183203189591288

September is National Su***de Prevention Month – it serves as a powerful reminder that there are steps we all must take in looking out for loved ones, the people in our community, and those who have been affected by su***de. If you are a business and would like to support Brown Beauty Magic by purchasing a table at The Ton ChariTEA Party-Bridgerton Style, contact 706-426-1176 or email [email protected]

After an encounter with acne inspired her to address the root causes of skin problems, Niqua Patterson opened My True Beauty in Evans, GA. A corrective skin care specialist, Niqua helped Scott understand the process by taking him through a facial, step by step and it's fascinating! Who knew all that went into skincare!? And who knew all that was on Scott's skin?!?!

Thank you to you guys and our sponsor, Laziza Mediterranean Grill, for helping us - find Niqua and My True Beauty at https://linktr.ee/mytruebeauty and please help us share her story! And, be sure to watch to the end for a special offer!

As always we appreciate every like, save and comment - we also would love to see you at loveaugusta.co
