The Maine Outdoors show on the Voice of Maine (on the radio at 101.3/103.9 or on the Voice of Maine app) will be talking to Dana Valleau from the Maine Sporting Camp Association at 7:30 tonight about two bills, LD 1218 and 1219, affecting public land leaseholders in the legislature this session. The legislative hearings on these bills is scheduled for this Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at 1 PM before the Joint Standing Committee on Agriculture, Conservation, and Forestry. Tune in to learn more about these bills.

7 planes flew yesterday, more sleds, the most fun!!! Lots of flying to be seen around the Birches this week. Restaurant open noon to 8 today and tomorrow, 8am to 9pm Friday and Saturday, 8am to 8pm Sunday. Lodging, rentals, gift shop ,and fuel open daily (7 to 7).

Effective June 26, adult visitors who are not Maine, New Hampshire or Vermont residents (exempted areas) and are visiting Maine lodging will be asked to sign a Certificate of Compliance indicating either that they have received a negative COVID-19 test result, that they will quarantine in Maine for 14 days, or that they have already completed their quarantine in Maine. Parents or guardians are asked to list travelers under 18 on the form. Under certain conditions, guests may quarantine at the lodge for the duration of their stay. The compliance form must be provided to check-in.

Thank you veterans! D Day! Many warriors died so we could be free.

The Normandy landings were the landing operations and associated airborne operations on Tuesday, 6 June 1944 of the Allied invasion of Normandy in Operation Overlord during World War II. Codenamed Operation Neptune and often referred to as D-Day, it was the largest seaborne invasion in history. The operation began the liberation of German-occupied France (and later western Europe) and laid the foundations of the Allied victory on the Western Front.
