The view from our office, above the bumps and nasty weather below.

Most modern private jet aircraft fly well above thunderstorm clouds and the associated turbulence, often at 43,000 to 45,000 feet. Compare this to the commercial airliners that are often limited by weight to cruise at altitudes between 30,000 to 38,000, which is often right in the middle of the worst storm clouds and turbulence. This typically means the pilots of airliners have to deviate around clouds and bumps which can add time and discomfort to your trip. (But credit is due to airline pilots for working hard to find smooth air!)

A recent exciting adventure with an ATMOSAir client... Our very own Andrew Gallagher helped a Citation CJ4 owner and his pilot get their new jet back to Texas from Zurich, Switzerland. This particular owner wanted his pilot to join for the experience, so ATMOSAir coordinated the entire trip and Andrew mentored the owner's pilot the entire trip back to Texas. Stops included Ireland, Iceland, and Canada; what a beautifully diverse world we live in!
