We have a few seats available for our SOLAR ECLIPSE LUNCH CRUISE - should be fun on the boat with a big lunch, lots of music and a view of the city as it goes into darkness. We will be checking on our famous bat colony too! Having another week of nightly bat cruises NOV - 6 - great weather and they are putting on a good show for us - come on out and learn more about the bats here in the city, see some city sights and enjoy this beautiful weather!

FUN FACT:1. Bats can live more than 30 years and can fly at speeds of 60 miles per hour (or more!)
In fact, University of Tennessee researchers found that the Mexican free-tailed bat could reach speeds up to 100 mph, making it by far the fastest mammal on Earth.

Hey y'alls, the Mexican Freetail bats are still delivering some amazing views. We are getting late in the season. Next month IS November and our little flyer buddies will start making the journey south. If you have an opportunity I would take some time to enjoy this amazing experience before they start their migration! Or you'll have to wait til next year to get such incredible viewing. Cheers!

Here is an everchanging canvas of local street art on the north side of the Union Pacific Railroad bridge over Lady Bird Lake. The street artists really have to bring it to share art here. Dangling stories above the water and working outside the structure is real commitment.

Does anyone know the approximate total number of Mexican Freetail mama bats that will take up residence under the Congress street bridge this year? The bats are still migrating in so we aren't there yet. Comment below. I know someone knows the answer!
