Do you dare to confess? Do you urinate in your wetsuit? 😅 Or do you hold it in at all costs? Let us know in the comments below!

The urge to urinate is common in diving, even among divers who don’t usually need to urinate frequently. The phenomenon is called immersion diuresis, occurring whenever the body is immersed in water. So, in other words, it's okay if you choose to do it in your wetsuit. After all, we all know there are only two types of divers!

Join our DAN study at Mystery Lake Scuba Park in Wendell, North Carolina, every Saturday from March 23rd to September 5th, 2024!

To participate, you must:
✅ Be at least 18 years old
✅ Commit to a minimum of 7 Saturdays within a 3-month period between March and September
✅ Hold an Advanced Open Water certification or higher
✅ Have completed 50 or more dives, including experience diving to 100ft in dark/low visibility conditions
✅ Provide a completed "fit to dive" form (see below)
✅ Provide proof of active dive insurance

I heard through the grapevine vine this was a good time! Some frequent flyers at the dive park these instructors and repair technicians are good quality. Seeing them help other go after their dreams and passions is amazing!! Hope we see more of these in the future.

Thank you for your concerns and support as we navigate the ongoing situation in Maui. Our home and birthplace, Lahaina, has suffered a tremendous fire. We are fortunate that the Avelo team is safe.

However, the Lahaina dive shops, including our headquarter shop, have suffered greatly. We are studying the damage and the best ways for us to support our community here.

Avelo is fortunate in that we can continue to grow despite this catastrophe. Our commitment to the community that supported us from the very beginning will always be substantial. We cannot emphasize enough that we are very much involved in this disaster, and personally affected, and will share news as soon as we are able to provide more information.

Tonight Catalina Island Conservancy is hosting a fun fact friday and lecturing about Sunflower stars. We were just informed that it is tonight at the Trail Head building here in Avalon at 5:30pm. Come hang out

Massive shout out to Shearwater!! They simply have the best customer service in the world. I had a HUD failure 4000 miles from home and in 4 days I had a new hud. You rock guys! Shearwater forever ❤️
