We didn't give the past few days a proper recap, because there is so much more than just eating our way through the destinations. (although, I don't believe I've ever had better oysters, lobster, or mussels than the past few days-- so fresh and flavorful!)

Yesterday, we stopped at a local history center and the volunteer there advised us to go visit the Cossit House Museum, to meet the woman who knew everything about Sydney/Cape Breton Island. And wow did she! We talked for a good 45 minutes learning about the immigrants who founded the area, the WW2 history, the steel mill history.

We walked out of that little house knowing that the world shrinks when you talk to one another and learn the things you have in common.

Reverend Cossit and his wife Thankful raised 10 children in that house. Evidently, she haunts the house along with some other restless souls. I think she just likes seeing it quieter. I did suggest that his wife Thankful probably wished her name was Exhausted or LeaveMeAlone. ;)

Today, we will be docked in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Cruising is a wonderful way to explore so much of our world and so many cruise lines visit these ports. Tourism on this itinerary has exploded since COVID according to many of the locals.

Here's a sampling of the different cruise lines you can take to explore these areas. Each cruise line does things a bit differently, so we can work together to find the best fit. There are small ships, family ships, luxury ships... so many different ways to see this part of the world.

I made a short video to show all the different ships that come through this way when I was in Prince Edward Island.

I highly recommend this itinerary if you love history, culture, delicious seafood, all from a relaxing environment.
