Today will be an active one with multiple rounds of showers and afternoon thunderstorms. Locally heavy rain may lead to flash flooding. The flood watch was expanded to include all of NEPA, the Catskills up to Sullivan County, and the NY Southern Tier. Then for much of these same areas, there is a chance for severe thunderstorms later today. The main hazard will be damaging winds and heavy rainfall. While chances are low, large hail and isolated tornadoes will also be possible.
