Can't wait!

Can't wait for my next travel adventure in July to go off-grid in Eastern Oregon on a hiking and pack-rafting adventure with Go Wild: American Adventures. I'll be staying at Minam River Lodge only accessible by 8.5 mile hike, horseback ride or charter flight in.

I'll be flying in and then hiking/rafting down the Minam River with a group for several days. I'll be spending a few days after this part of the trip exploring the local arts and culinary scene in surrounding communities.

We have a last minute luxury camping tour with spots available from August 30th to September 1st in the Blue Mountains of Eastern Oregon. We'll be hiking into a beautiful alpine meadow to enjoy one of the most remote areas of the Elkhorn Range with gourmet camp food, cocktails, swimming in alpine lakes, and great company.

Price is a reduced last minute rate of $1600 and includes:
-local, professional, naturalist guides
-camp cook & bartender
-all meals, beverages & cocktail package
-all camp / hike gear- tents, chairs, cots, group gear, kitchen, safety equipment etc. (excluding sleeping bags)
-----we'll send you a packing list upon booking
-camp games, activities (snorkeling, hatchet throwing, etc.)- we are -professional wilderness fun facilitators

We've been lucky that smoke and wildfires haven't directly affected our business this year so far, as they have many operators throughout the west. The increasing presence of wildfires, has however, thrown the future of what it looks like to be a guide in Oregon into question. Somedays, I find myself not wanting to go outside- "into" the office.

Most days though, you'll find us enthusiastically trudging trail, teaching the flora and fauna of Eastern Oregon, instructing our guests on how cast a dry fly, and on how to keep campfires small and make sure they're dead out.

I believe in why we go outside, in the appreciation and understanding gained from experiencing the wild first hand. It's why we're out here. It's why we take people outside. It's why I started this and why I will continue to explore and teach what I know, be it through sweat, dust, blood, and unfortunately sometimes, smoke.
