Sweet Cakes by Jaime & Mia I’ve been doing cakes on and off for 15 years! I work full time in fitness and I do cakes at night! What an awesome journey it has been. and San Diego.

We started doing cakes over 3 years ago with birthdays, special events and weddings. We are the full package and are the culmination of the finest artistic talent and baking skill. We only use the freshest and best ingredients for our customers. Primarily we are a wedding cake company now with the occasional birthday or big event. Nothing is too much of a challenge for us. We have always found a w

ay. We will also do the non- traditional cakes, cookies, cupcakes, pies, and more upon request for your special day. We primarily are on the higher end of Wedding Cakes for Kern County but you will not be disappointed when you get our cakes as we make sure you get the exact design, flavor and one of a kind cake for you. We go to great lengths i to make it perfect. We are also willing to travel for an extra fee. We have delivered cakes to L.A. We would love to be apart of your special day. Why is this so satisfying? Stenciling cakes is one of my favorite techniques to do! Follow these 4 steps for a successful stenciling experience…1. Before you stencil, apply and smooth final coat of frosting on the cake. 2. Chill the cake for at least 15 mins! It needs to be very cold and set so when you touch it the buttercream is not sticky at all. 3. Place the stencil on the cake and use an offset spatula to spread a small amount of buttercream on. You can use the same spatula to remove the excess like I did here or you can use a smooth cake scraper to remove. 4. If you want organic stenciling like I did here, just keep moving the stencil around the cake and place your image where you want it. Sometimes you have to put it back in the fridge in between so you don’t mess up what you just did! It can be intimidating to stencil a cake at first but try it!!
