‼️MASSIVE river flooding imminent in Western NC... this is the forecasted crest for the French Broad River. The Toe River and Nolichucky will see broken 💔 records as well. Action stage for the Toe (meaning flood and swift water rescues might be needed) is 6 feet. It is around 7 feet currently and the storm hasn't arrived! 25-30 inches of rain 🌧 is predicted in our area with 19 inches in surrounding areas. The storm arrives while your sleeping 😴 💤 so charge your phone and leave it on for ⚠️ alerts. Charge flash lights, have a go bag and Evac plan if needed. Please for the love of God don't leave your furry friends chained out in this event!

The French Broad River at Fletcher is now forecasted to crest at 30.5' -- TEN FEET ABOVE THE CURRENT RECORD of 20.1'. PLEASE SEEK HIGHER GROUND if you are under a Flash Flood Warning or are in a low-lying area.

A lot of work and a wee bit of play! Tile floors are in! Planters planted with ornamental and edible arrangements. Plus, 2 Trees potted for year-round fruit! The tile floors will be complemented by a glass shower accented with a beautiful inlay! The space will also have an eco-conscious toilet, sink, and outdoor kitchen supplies!

2025 will feature a venue that is perfect for intimate and or adventurous events and s. This 1890's to***co farm features a rich history oozing culture highlighting moonshine, murder and mayhem. The history is written in the book, Red Hill the Untold Story of the Whitson Brothers and Murder of Kyte Byrd!

The farm has gardens galore and 2 creeks run through the property. There are two lodging options and a large field for tents and chairs! It is surrounded by 2 National forests (Pisgah and Cherokee), 2 small mountain towns and walking distance to the river and foot bridge!

We are located in Red Hill, NC a remote community about 2.5 hours from Charlotte, 3 hours from Raleigh, 45 minutes to Asheville, Boone, Blowing Rock and Johnson City!

Gardens galore! This year we added more dahlias and a rose Garden! We have added a variety of 9 new fruit trees to the existing nectarine, pear and 🍒 🌸 trees. Plus we now have several pawpaw 🌳 planted in our yard and along the river for erosion control measures. We always have 2 vegetable and herb gardens! Additional ornamental and edible 🌼 🌸 beds are located with our home, lodging, and river Outpost store.

I particularly ❤️ additions I can eat 😋 like our fruit trees and berry bushes! The new glasshouse bathhouse will also serve as a greenhouse growing 2 small fruit trees, a few ornamentals and herbs for a an amazing aroma!

Our guests really loved our gardens, river and meditation 🧘‍♂️ time at Hidden Holler, unique mountain river farm-stay in the tiny house. I can't take all the credit for the gardens though. This farm is historic, built in 1890. All of the farms owners loved to garden and it shows in our various fruit trees, grape and berry orchards. I have added alot and am maintaining and discovering the older gardens too!

So Friday night 🌙 around 1:15 am, I learned 3 things. 1: A meteor could almost strike our house and my husband is not waking up. 2: Meteors are mesmerizing and a wee bit scary. 3: WNC has a huge insomnia or third shifter population and we should start a club, call it the night owls of WNC?!?

So last night I saw a weird flash outside and then the house, windows, and ground shook a bit. The cats bolted in from outside, all the motion lights and cameras were triggered and the dog freaked out. The fur family all came running in and piled on top of me while I lay on the couch. I tried to wake the hubby but nadda. So to fb I went. Was I losing it? It was something you could feel, unlike thunder. It wasn't an earthquake as it came from above. Not a fighter jet or lightning....none on the radar.

Within 5 minutes, others replied to my FB inquiry, videos emerged the 💥 was a meteorite ie fireball and parts of it could have hit our area. Follow our NC Outdoor Adventures fb page for the best of pics, videos and NASA updates.

Oh my, good lord! Delicious mater pie with ingredients from my garden! Both had basil/ bacon/chives. Only difference, 1 was a spicy cheddar, the other Italian with mozzarella, feta, parmesan, cream cheese with marinara.

Water lines from the spring house are in! The glass house bathhouse will have a glass windowed shower with a toilet and sink. A covered outdoor kitchen and 2 top bar area will feature a mini-fridge, grill, and outdoor camp 🏕 kitchen setup with propane cooktop and prep table. Bet the hubby is wishing he said yes when I asked him to go to the store with me. Went to replace 2 broken shovels from digging the waterline for the tipi. I ended up with 4 🐔, 3 ducks (and pool), a lemon tree and citrus tree for the bathhouse/glass house/greenhouse! Oh and a fake chicken skeleton for Halloween 🎃 and 3 toys for baby dog. I also grabbed dinner from Stoney K**b Cafe !

It's been a minute since I posted garden 📸 at Hidden Holler, unique mountain river farm-stay ! I need 🍐 recipes. Also my master gardening people....what is eating all the leaves and causing brown spots on my 🍒, nectarine, 🍎 and 🍐 🌳 trees?!?

Our pumpkins 🎃 are going off just in time for our Haunted River Float with NCOA and Leaf and Waterfall Tours with BBQ at NC Outdoor Adventures . Aren't the Wee little pumpkins adorable!
