It's happening! Can't wait for our Leaf Peeking river tours - starting tomorrow! We'll let you know what we see.

Leaf peepers looking for the perfect place to see fall foliage between Oct. 2 and Oct. 8 should plan on heading to Upstate's mountains.

Three fun facts about Onondaga Lake:
1. You can sit on stone stairs that once led visitors to a beach on the east shore of the lake years ago. (Near the Butterfly Garden of Hope, Onondaga Lake Parkway.)
2. There were "submarine races" on the lake. (Ha ha. A cheeky name for when people parked along the Parkway, often at night. :) Parking was banned in the '70s)
3. Jesuit missionaries in 1600s called it Salt Lake because of the brine springs along its edge.
