Shared Adventure Tours is at Cayman Brac Beach Resort and it is a great week with a wonderful group of people. The resort is beautiful, the weather is perfect, the food outstanding, the dive crew is the best and the diving is beating our expectations. We have a night dive tonight and hopefully we will experience the bioluminescence provided by the ostracods. Life can’t be better!

Just returned from a Cuba adventure spending time in Havana and the Gardens of the Queen for a week diving. We are so fortunate to have a group of travelers who are such a pleasure to travel and dive with. Thanks all your support. Look forward to traveling with you in the future.

Today was the start of our Cuba 2024 adventure. First two days will be in Havana followed by a week of diving in the Gardens of the Queen. Our group of twenty three arrived in Havana this morning with VIP services at the airport followed by lunch at a great paladar restaurant and then a show from the Compas Habana dance company. Tomorrow we head to a cigar factory, Earnest Hemmingway's house a walking tour of old Havana and then a professional photo shoot f our group with classic cars Cuba is known for.

Maldives Dive Adventure. Here's a short video from our recent trip on the Emperor Serenity live aboard in the Maldives Gives you a taste of what the diving was like.

We're planning to take a group back to share the unique location. A location which should be on the bucket list for all divers.

More fun with mantas! This night dive off the back of the Serenity in 35' of water is an adrenaline filled dive. Just seeing these creature come so close is memorable. What happens is the boat turns on a large light on the back of the boat which attracts plankton which in turn attracts the mantas. They also place lights on the bottom and have the divers point there lights up to attract plankton and bring the mantas in close to the divers. You can see how close they come to Sharon. The visibility looks low because of all the plankton. The mantas swim through the water column doing barrel rolls and scooping up as much plankton as they can.

This dive took place in Fesdu Lagoon and these mantas are smaller than the ones in the previous video. The reason this lagoon acts as a nursery for juveniles because predators, such as sharks, don't usually come into the lagoon.

If you need a reason to dive the Maldives, this is just the first of many. We were so lucky to dive this site which is called Moofushi or Manta Point. This is a cleaning station where mantas go to get cleaned by cleaner fish. These mantas really wanted to interact with us and spent almost forty five minutes soaring around us. This site normally has a lot of dive boats but we were the only one there that day. Just wanted to stay with them as long as we could. You can see the divers in the video tied to the reef. We used reef hooks to keep us stationary in the current. The hooks are attached to rocks without damaging the coral

Just returned from our trip to the Maldives! An awesome week on the Emperor Divers Serenity filled with great diving including whale sharks, mantas, sharks and so much more. Our shipmates were from all over the world, great people. The Serenity was roomy, beautiful and her staff took great care of us. We are interested in planning a return group trip. Keep an eye out for information. I'm sure this trip will fill quickly. This boat can take twenty six divers.

Just wrapping up the DEMA dive show in New Orleans. This show was one of our best and most productive. We’re working on trips to Indonesia, the Maldives, Philippines, Seychelles, St. Vincent and more. We also booked a return 2024 summer trip to Cayman Brac. We met with many resort/boat owners to work on all the details. We also had a chance to sample New Orleans cuisine, Bourbon St., Jackson square, shopping, and enjoy some great music. Had the best fried chicken I’ve ever had at Gus’s! NOLA is a great town. Haven’t been back here since 2000.

Shared Adventure Tours just returned from a wonderful week at Cayman Brac Beach Resort. We were fortunate to dive with some of our old friends and made some new ones. Conditions were perfect and the fish life was abundant. Water temp was 86 degrees which meant no thermal protection necessary, my favorite way to dive. Seventeen dives and every one was special. The dive staff provided valet diving taking care of all our gear for us. CBBR has a great resort staff which provided excellent service and the food was amazing. We will return!

Next stop is Fiji in October.

Experiencing the World Together

Shared Adventure Tours is a travel service, owned by Tim and Sharon Corcoran, specializing in small group experiences to exciting destinations. Our goal is to bring people together from all walks of life and give them an opportunity to share cultural experiences and activities, including dive trips, around the world. The experience of the destination is enhanced with each person contributing their interests, thoughts and personal touches. The end result is something far more meaningful and memorable than travelling alone. New friendships and relationships are formed which will last for years.

“Tim and I always believed hard work pays off. Tim worked at a utility for 34 years and retired when he had worked at Aquatic World of North Syracuse for nine years. He’s a Master Scuba Diver Trainer, and most recently joined me to Co-Direct Travel for the dive shop. Tim is also an aspiring nature photographer. You can check out his images at timcorcoranphotos.com. My background consists of working in managerial positions with Syracuse Supply Co., Denny’s Restaurants, Cracker Barrel Restaurants, and most recently at Aquatic World as Travel Director. It was a welcome and exciting progression for us to end up working in the travel industry. Tim and I both have a passion for travel, and we love sharing the experience with others. We always look forward to meeting people who want to visit new places, experience different cultures, connect with nature, and with each other in a group experience. We love making new friends and we cherish each friendship we have made along the way.”
