On this first full day of winter, it feels bitter cold outside, on par for the holiday season and the start of the calendar winter season. While out and about, feel free to pay us a visit to top of the World Observation Level located on top of the tallest regular pentagonal building in the world, the World Trade Center, Baltimore. In addition to the clear vibrant views and the history lesson involved, we added cookie decorating to the family to do list. Take advantage of this while supplies last. These cookie decors are specifically for kids ages 3-15, which would be a amazing and memorable family experience much like we saw here recently. Cookies are already baked and prepared. Only the frostings, icing, and decors remain and we have seen some amazing artistic decor work this weekend. This is a perfect excuse to warm up as well.

This is part of your admission to top of the world, which with a receipt can be an all day admission. Larger groups can also save money because we discount groups of 10 people or more. Hours of operation are below. Please be mindful we close admission/entry to top 30 minutes before scheduled closures each day.

Christmas/holiday cookie decorations start promptly at noon today here at Top of the World Observation Level and will continue while supplies last. This hands-on experience filled with creativity for kids will be part of your Top of the World experience. Kids ages 3-15 are welcomed to participate with their families in this fun filled activity while elevated on top of the tallest regular pentagon building in the world. Each child participating will receive 2 cookies, icing, sprinkles, and a bag to take their edible masterpieces home.

**No baking or icing prep required – we’ve got this covered!**

We are an enclosed observation deck space and a great venue to get out of the outside winter elements. We are open to the public today from 11 am-6 pm, last entry is at 5:30 pm. Top of the World Observation Level is back up and running for public operations and we are looking forward to seeing you and your family and friends here this weekend. We will even extend our public operations today by 1 hour to accommodate the large crowds at the German Christmas Village and the Pandora ice skating rink as well as a scheduled lighted boats parade, which will take place at the Inner Harbor between 6-8 p.m.

We will be open to the public from 10 am-8 pm today 12/7/2024.
We will be open regular hours on Sunday 12/8/2024 from 11 am-6 pm. Please log onto http://www.viewbaltimore.org for further details on our facility as well as admission rates to top. We have the best and only birds eye view of Baltimore from the top of the tallest regular pentagon building in the world. We look forward to your visit.

In addition, another facility we manage, the Bromo Seltzer Arts Clock Tower is open to the public today from 11 am-4 pm. Bromo houses the largest four faced gravity driven clock in the world. The clock faces are one foot larger than Big Ben in London. It is an amazing history lesson and one of Baltimore's most amazing treasures to visit.

Today is also Pearl Harbor Day and the last surviving ship of the Pearl Harbor attacks, the US Coast Guard Taney is stationed right here in Baltimore across the street from the Candler Building. Check it out and our historic ships fleet during your visit to Baltimore this weekend.

We will reopen with special extended hours on Saturday from 10 am- 8 pm to accommodate the Christmas Village and annual lighted boats parade scheduled for Saturday evening. Your best birds eye view of this is from the top of the worlds tallest regular pentagonal building.

It's starting to look and feel like the Christmas season in Baltimore and Top of the World Observation Level is open through this weekend and every Wednesday-Sunday going forward with spectacular 360 degree-views of Baltimore waiting for you to see. Interactive self-guided history lessons about Baltimore and our famous historic landmarks are provided and guided history lessons and Q&A are available upon request as well.

Sunsets by popular demand can be experienced by our guests and TOTW staff alike from the tallest regular pentagon building in the world. We are open this weekend on Saturday 11/23 from 10 am-7 pm and on Sunday 11/24 from 11 am-6 pm. Last entry occurs 30 minutes before scheduled closure each day.

Please be advised we will be closed Monday-Thursday for Thanksgiving, and we will reopen on Friday 11/29/24 at regular hours.

Top of the World Observation Level located on top of the tallest regular pentagonal building in the world overlooking Baltimore Harbor offers unobstructed 360 degree views of Baltimore. On a clear day, we can see up to 30 miles away. In addition to the gorgeous views, this is the last weekend to view an art exhibit entitled the Third Future, a self-portrait by multidisciplinary artist Ainsley Burrows. Burrows was raised in Kingston, Jamaica and Brooklyn, New York. His works portrays the many lessons, stories, historical figures, events, movements, and upbringings which shaped his own perspective. This art exhibit on view at Gallery in the Sky is part of your Top of the World experience.

We are open to the public every Wednesday-Sunday.

Thursday evening 10-10-2024 proved to be very special for everyone that had the opportunity to witness the aurora borealis. Even in the inner city here at Top of the World in a first of its kind opportunity, we could see this aurora display from the naked eye at TOTW at the Baltimore World Trade Center, the tallest regular-pentagonal building in the world.

An intense solar flare caused a coronal mass ejection from the sun, which was earth directed. Once the Coronal Mass Ejection interacts with the earth's magnetic field, this severe geomagnetic disturbance occurred.

We typically do not see auroras in the inner city due to haze and light pollution issues, but this was such an intense geomagnetic disturbance, we were able to see this from the naked eye from the Top of the World with even more vibrant views away from city lights. This awesome 360 view is awe inspiring and offers amazing surprises like this.
