Howdy partners! As we get ready for Food and Wine Festival at Epcot, I am trying to figure out when to squeeze in a visit for my favorite festival, Flower and Garden. Running March-May, I love the topiaries, concerts, food and drink booths, butterflies, and the feeling of spring!
This festival spans all spring breaks so whether you need to schedule when the kids have off or want to go a little later to avoid those crowds we can get your trip planned now!
Which princess is your favorite? A Disney cruise is a great way to meet a bunch of royalty at one time! Belle, Tiana and Rapunzel are three-way tied for my favorite and all are on almost every sailing.
With its rustic look, evening turndown service, and entrance right in to California Adventure, the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is generally considered the nicest of the three on site Disneyland resorts. I’m so glad we picked this one for our trip next summer as it’s a great place to stay and is the last Disneyland hotel for me to cross off my personal bucket list! I walked through earlier this year (during the Chinese New Year celebration) and am so excited to experience everything the resort has to offer with my crew.
Looking for a little more whimsical? I just booked Pixar Pier for another family today as well. And if you want something even cheaper, Disneyland has lots of off site hotels that are still a quick walk to the parks I can book too.

I’m finally taking my crew to Disneyland next August and can’t wait for them to see the original park, California Adventure, and all the west coast magic!
My clients know I am not big on the upsell. But one thing I almost always recommend is memory maker. For $185 per group (and yes this can be shared between a few rooms!) you get downloads of pictures with characters, on rides, and at posed places around the park like in front of the castle, Tree of Life, and Spaceship Earth globe. You can even do magic shots with a little extra fun!
We easily get 200 pictures when we buy it and everyone is in the picture so no worries about mom or dad missing from those vacation memories!

4 nights on the brand new Utopia of the Seas! I can’t wait to experience all this ship has to offer including the aqua show, pool area, and visit to Perfect Day at CocoCay.
My couch at home is comfy but doesn’t allow for watching for whales as the sun sets unfortunately.

The kids each went flying earlier this week! One minute trial flights are included in your cruise fare on quantum class ships and the kids had a ball “skydiving”.
Some cute little sea lions on our whale watch. We also saw Orcas and Humpback whales but my photography skills on those were real bad :)

Today was a sea day before we hit Alaskan ports the next three days and I spent an interesting 45 minutes learning about whales from the marine biologist on board. Nature talks are a nice feature on almost all Alaskan sailings.
Our ship has bumper cars for a few hours each day. Last night Kellen tried it out and the rest of us enjoyed some laughs as he crashed as hard as he could in to as many strangers as possible. The whole family will definitely be checking it out during other sessions this week.
We took advantage of kids sail free (our last one before the little is 13) to upgrade to a junior suite. These have a bigger balcony, some nice touches like nicer bathrooms and balcony furniture, a little more overall room space, and a fancy coffee maker in the room.
Kids sail free is available often as a promo. It applies to guests 3 and beyond sailing in the same room as 2 other guests for those 12 and under. Most summer and school break sailings are excluded but sometimes Alaska and/or Europe has summer availability and we happened to book early and grabbed this almost 2 years ago.
We made it!
Embarkation in Seattle has been easy peasy. From being dropped off by our Uber to on the ship in less than 15 minutes! Ovation of the Seas is beautiful and we can’t wait to experience Alaska!

So excited for my clients who will be enjoying an Art of Animation family site for the holidays. How cute is the Nemo splash area? I also have clients checking in to this great resort Friday. With a combination of Little Mermaid standard rooms and Cars, Lion King, and Nemo family suites, this resort is perfect for all sorts of Disney and Pixar lovers!
One of my favorite Disney resorts, Wilderness Lodge has 2 great pools, is an easy boat ride over to Magic Kingdom, has some of my favorite food on property, and just has a chill vibe. Add in the Christmas decorations, and it’s hard to beat from Thanksgiving week through the end of the year!

The three of us stayed in a Lion King suite for our 2 days at Disney and it was a perfect space to give us each a little room to spread out. With 2 bathrooms and a kitchenette, the room is definitely a great fit for families that are larger or need extra space. I tell my clients to get a spot for Disney’s Enchantmeny about an hour before the show. Sure you can see some of the fireworks from other locations around Disney but seeing the projections and hearing the music definitely is worth the wait. And even more so for Happily Evet After which returns in April!!

It’s not too early to think about your holiday plans - Christmas in July is the perfect time to book your Disney or Universal December vacation! Both parks have special shows and events for the holiday season and it’s a favorite time to visit! Decorations go up in November so you can avoid the peak holiday travel weeks and still enjoy the special magic!
I love the Hogwarts show at Universal! This show is most nights starting at dusk and is a great way to end your Universal day!
