Starting Thu Feb 22, reservations will be available for purchase on a rolling 90-day basis for the Vehicle Reservation System for the Cadillac Summit Road. Dates of operation will be from Wed May 22 through Sun Oct 27, 2024.

Vehicle reservations cost $6. They are sold online in advance at Recreation.gov. Visitors must have a park entrance pass to enter the park in addition to purchasing a vehicle reservation for Cadillac Summit Road. Park entrance passes are available at the park or online at Recreation.gov.

Vehicle reservations are not required for any other areas of the park, or for visitors who enter the area by foot, bike, or taxi. Cadillac is not served by the Island Explorer bus system. Learn more at https://go.nps.gov/AcadiaVehicleReservations

Exciting news from the Moosehead Lake Region!!

11 years ago on this day, February 10, 2013 we opened the chairlift to our local community for the very first time. 11 full years later our lift has been reborn, as have the upper mountain trails. Look for our new merch coming soon. We are open everyday 2/15-2/25 for vacation week. Come Ski the View!

I’ve posted a picture of this memorial for my dad before, but it was surrounded by crisp white snow and not flowing green grass... recently stumbled upon it while wandering around the north Maine woods and sent me a pic, so I thought I’d share.
You can find this stone along the snowmobile trail in Shirley Mills (near the bog) in memory of my father who happened to be the very first President of the Maine Snowmobile Association.
