The Garden Center at Wetlands Trading Co opens on May 5, 2023! This has already created a buzz with people asking many questions about our plans, our inventory etc.

Here is just a brief overview of our plans for the property with the Garden Center and Gourmet Market. We will have a hot coffee service available so that people can grab a beverage and some baked goods, sit in one of the seating areas that we are designing around the property and enjoy some fresh air and serenity. I have started to clear the trail around the big pond, and making good progress, so I hope to have the trail complete this upcoming season for people to enjoy.

We will be be carrying many of the types of items available at most garden centers such as bagged mulch, plants of seceral types, tools, garden and landscape decor (wind chimes, sun dancers, rain chains, bird houses/feeders/seed/baths, statues) and many other unique items and gifts that you won't find elsewhere. We plan on offering different items than you would typically find in the average garden center or large corporate stores. There will also be lots of home decor and furniture in the building as well year-round.

We plan on hosting sunrise Yoga sessions and various events featuring local artisans. I am setting up registration pages for these and other events on our website shortly and will let everyone know when the pages are active.

The first event will actually take place before the Center opens. On March 31, April 1 and April 2 there will be an event hosted at the Garden Center and will feature the Rustic Hare Spring Market. The Rustic Chicks will have their talents on display to kick off Spring! Their flyer is shown below, so please share and come enjoy the event and the skills of these women for home decor and so much more!

We want to make this a DESTINATION and EXPERIENCE and not simply retail space. It is a beautiful and unique property with great history that we want to honor and build upon. I will constantly upgrade and beautify the property and continue to provide items for all to use, share and give.
