It's Pollinator Week! Include host plants in your pollinator gardens! These host plants are the nurseries of the pollinator garden, where the eggs and immature insects grow before metamorphosis into butterflies and moths.

Some examples include:
Dill, fennel, and parsley- Eastern black swallowtail
Cassias- sulfur butterfly
Hollyhock- painted lady
Passion vines- Gulf fritillary butterfly
Milkweed- monarch butterfly
Bean plant- long-tailed skipper

Our fundraiser closes tonight! We have t-shirts, long sleeve shirts, and sweatshirts available for sale.

We are raising money to fund travel for an educational spring break trip for our members. Our shirt design was designed by one of our very own members!

Horticulture club had an eventful day! First we donated leftover veggie transplants from our fall sale and planted them in a new community garden at the Broadmoor Methodist Church for their food bank initiative! Then we had our last meeting for the semester and tasted some yummy produce from our garden. We’ve learned and grown so much this semester, and we can’t wait to see where we’ll “greaux” next! See y’all in January!

We are so excited to share what we've been "greauxing" with you all! Please come out and see us on Thursday and Friday from 9-4pm. All funds collected from the sale support the hort club's activities and help us teach a new generation of horticulturalists!

Today hort club started a new adventure: community gardening! We’re growing vegetables, herbs, as well as a pollinator garden! We can’t wait for these to grow and be a learning opportunity for our members!

We had an awesome time exploring the trails at Burden Botanical Garden. We IDed plants and weeds, looked at insects under a handheld microscope, and enjoyed this beautiful fall weather!
