“I was looking for a way to give something back to my community and a way help me stay in shape.”
In 14 years of volunteering, Karl has seen a lot. "I was fighting some fires where there was fire on three side of me, and over the top of me, and that’s quite an adrenaline rush.”
“I would encourage anyone to join. The training is free, including becoming an EMS or an EMT. It’s weekly training and it really helps you become a better person for your community. We’ve been so understaffed for a long time and are desperately needing more people.”
