The fall salmon run is in full swing on Michigan’s west side. I will be pulling Danny boy 2 out of Betsie bay marina Oct 21st. I still have a few openings for trolling for steelhead and some non spawning kings. Danny boy 3 will be put into storage first week of November. I still have opening for “walk on Wednesday” perch fishing as well as some private walleye charters. November-March I will be fishing the Saginaw River. I you are interested in getting some fall fishing in text me at 561-473-4746 or go to 561gofishn.com to reserve a date.
Here is something you don’t see everyday. Turned out to be a deer swimming across the river.
Fun trip with Keith and Mike for the Roscoe tournament. If it was a bass tournament Keith would have won. If catfish tournament I would have won. Mike was catching walleye but came up up short of the winning the tournament. Thank Mike and Keith for a fun trip

Even the seagulls were biting on purple flicker minnows on Saginaw bay. This seagull had a rough time but was revived and fished with us the rest of the trip.
WOW. What a weekend on Saginaw bay. Saturday fishing was calm and fish were biting. Lost a few planer board and within minutes some awesome fishermen that were pre fishing for the walleye for warriors event called to let me know they found them. I tagged along with Keith Yaworski and Mike Holka who were attending the captains meeting at Linwood beach and marina. I met some great captains and vets while retrieving my planer board. I was very impressed with amount of effort and generosity from the local community. From the donation of food, bait , sporting goods, fish cleaning…etc. that honored our vets.
Weather was very bad on Sunday but that didn’t spoil the event. I made an early run and cut the charter short on Sunday. Went over to the weighin over at Linwood to see the fish. Although I was not a captain in the event I can appreciate the amount of effort by CaptShane Dietrich Keith and Mike for putting their vets on fish. Also thanks to Bryan and j and j charter service for the prompt board return. Also had some entertainment by the seagulls on the tent.
Fish really biting good on the bay today. Great way to kick off summer.
