GREAT NEWS!!! We just left the Nephrologist, ie kidney Dr. Dayna has progressed from near death from her Rhabdomyolysis and Kidney failure to now STAGE 3b Chronic Kidney Disease. We now have way more flexibility in what she can eat. Our focus now is to get weight back on her while still being cognizant of her kidneys inability to work completely. Her kidneys are now working at 35% thats a heck of a lot better than 5%.

The prayers from all over the world have help tremendously. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Dayna M White and I went to the Dr today for her kidneys. The visit started off great with you were able to pull your numbers in line. Then came the punch in the gut. The damage that has been done by the Rhabdo is irreversible. You will have to maintain the strict diet forever in order to keep you off dialysis.

In all of our visits and stays in the hospital, we were always given hope and told her kidneys should recover from this. Unfortunately Dayna was misdiagnosed by urgent care twice which allowed the rhabdomyolysis to do irreversible damage. She is now stage 4 CKD they think Stage 3 is probably the best we could achieve at this point.

The good news is that Dayna is not having to do dialysis at this point and our goal is to keep her off dialysis. Also I've somehow lost 20lbs while cooking and eating this flavorless food.

Today we process, tomorrow we get after it and prove them wrong!

Thank you for the prayers and words of encouragement. She needs all the encouragement she can get. Tough day

To all of our friends and acquaintances from the Betsy Ann.

GREAT NEWS!!!! Dayna M White was taken off dialysis for a week to see if her kidneys could maintain on their own. We saw the Dr this morning and now we are sitting at the vascular surgeon to have her port removed. HER KIDNEYS ARE HOLDING THEIR OWN!!! She still has a long way to go. Her creatine is at 2.3, should be 1. At her highest point it was 12.5. She is still going to have to watch what she eats as her potassium is still high. Next appointment in a month.

Time to celebrate a huge victory!

She still has a long road to recovery from the Rhabdomyolosis but she is doing great and feeling very positive today. Thank you for the prayers they are working.

Update on Dayna M White.
Really wanted to have something great to share. She is still going to dialysis 3 days a week. Her numbers are starting to come around some. She got smiley faces on all of her goals. The two numbers she needs to be able to reduce dialysis are still not where they need to be but getting closer.

She is dealing with two battles. One which causes her a lot of pain, recovering from Rhabdomyolysis and her kidneys. Rhabdo did a lot of damage to her muscles and from what we are reading could take years to fully recover. Hopefully a lot sooner.

Dayna is acclimating to dialysis and its not as draining as it once was but still gives her horrible headaches and nausea.

We are trying to put some weight on her as the renal diet is very limited as to what she can eat. If you know Dayna, you know she is following her diet and instructions to a fault. I can't even sneak any good stuff in her food. Funny thing is, for 6 years we had customers who would come out on the Betsy Ann and have certain dietary needs. We did our best to accommodate and now we completely understand how difficult it is to eat out. I'm so glad chef Hung Hurley was able to meet these customers needs.

All this being said Dayna's spirits are up and down. Every day she goes to dialysis we hope to hear good news and every day she comes home discouraged.

She will beat this, it's just going to take longer than we wanted.
