We do tours of the Apostle Islands ice caves that are outside the NPS boundary at Roman's Point, Chequamegon Bay and Red Cliff.

Meyers Beach, inside the NPS boundary, likely won't open to foot traffic this year, but our tours likely will.

Every photo we post leading up to Februsry 1st will be photos from previous years ice cave tours. All of our ice cave tours take place outside the NPS boundary. These are not photos of the Meyers Beach Ice Caves that are inside the NPS boundary.

Our favorite space has to be the Solarium ⭐️🌙☀️ With vaulted ceilings of windows, it’s the best place for morning coffee, late afternoon happy hour, and gazing at the Milky Way at night. The built-in Wet Bar makes it so convenient for a bevie station! ☕️🍷

I N T R O D U C T I O N 👨‍👩‍👦

Hi! We wanted to take a moment and introduce ourselves. We are Mike, Cara & Sam and we are the owners and operators of Solstice House Bayfield in beautiful Bayfield, WI. Solstice House is aptly named because we closed on our home on the Winter Solstice in 2021 ❄️

Our home is 6,000 square feet on 10 acres just outside the city limits of Bayfield. We love the mix of meadow, forest, trails and the frog and turtle pond to explore each day. Added bonus is stunning views of Lake Superior and Madeline Island.

The Solstice House unit is located on the lower level of our home and is 1,150 square feet. Included in the rental is a full kitchen, one bedroom, one bath, a living room and our favorite space, the Solarium. It’s an ideal space for families and pet lovers, as we are pet friendly! 🐾 Comfortably sleeps 4+
